I have a record deck which connects to my Sonos speakers over Bluetooth. It’s buggy, drops out and really frustrating. Just upgraded to a Sonos Port which takes a phono input directly from the turntable. The difference is like night and day! #verypleased #sonos #vinyl

Just happened to pass an Apple Store so had a look at the new iPhones. Feel nice in the hand. They’re good! But £1k good? I’m not so sure..

So as a follow-up to my last posting, I thought I’d try putting KDE Plasma on Ubuntu, which is my normal go-to. Whereas Fedora ‘just works’, Ubuntu is buggy as hell! (Note this is on ARM64). Have decided to stick with Fedora for now while I fiddle about. #Linux #Ubuntu #Fedora #KDE

Been having a play with Fedora 42/KDE Plasma over the weekend; these days I tend to lean towards Ubuntu (generally console-only) for things but it’s been nice to give Fedora and KDE a whirl after quite a few years!

Really enjoyed watching the highlights last night of #LiveAid from 1985. What an amazing concert. What a feat of technology at the time! It’s the technology that really interests me; I’d love to know more about how it actually all worked.

Today I had the pleasure of driving a #Hyundai #i10 while our car was being serviced. 3 cylinders, turbo’d, and a whole lot of fun! Remarkably well specc’d too. Only gripe is having to disable the speed warnings every time the car is started.
