This is infuriating. Caregivers to many chronically ill people can't work bc of their loved ones' needs. This is one way to keep them from being destitute. The gall to accuse "fraud and abuse" here while we watch them squander billions on war and private jets is just beyond.
Coca call announcement about rabies. Talk entitled "Rabies is still here"
Nobody to do rabies testing at the CDC, but this COCA call with this title, email sent out today on the exact same day that RFK Jr is testifying about the HHS budget? 🤔
I’ve seen the chaos inside the Trump admin firsthand—and how his extreme plans are hurting Virginia families. I stood up to him when it mattered & have not stopped fighting.
Today, I launched my campaign for Congress. I’ll fight to undo the harm to hardworking Americans. Share if you’re with me.
NEW: Lawmakers funded PEPFAR for $4.6 billion this year. But activists say the majority of payments are still not going out to organizations in the field, and they're worried about cuts in the president's proposed budget for next year.

Your Tax Day reminder that trickle-down economics is a cruel hoax designed to enrich the wealthy and corporations while draining money for the middle class and the poor.
Don't let billionaires fool you into thinking we shouldn't tax the rich.
I lived and worked two years in Tanzania, seeing first hand the lives that were saved with PEPFAR and USAID money. I'm not sure I could make it through this book, but please tell him thank you for writing it from a doctor who is gutted by the destruction of USAID
For some reason Pua thinks the water from the shower is way more delicious than the water in her bowl
I can't even tell you how angry this makes me. Like how dare they. #Representationmatters #Hawaii

In case anybody was wondering if there's a limit (I wasn't), he's definitively proven there isn't.
As impossible as it feels most days, I actually think we're obligated to imagine and plan for such a future. I've been trying to lean into this, but it's hard.
I get asked for $ by the big schools on the continent where I was privileged to study, but I feel like billion-dollar endowments don't need the small gifts I can afford. I give to Univ of Hawai'i b/c training the next generation of Hawai'i's doctors is near and dear to my 💙, & small gifts do add up.
you and me both, friend
Thanks for making me laugh despite the utter horror of today
If today wasn't enough to convince you to vote for a Democrat, I really don't know what would be!
Who wants to bet the Republicans will take the next two weeks to consider impeachment and removal, but only behind closed doors and then followed by chickening out bc the genocidal maniac bullies them?
I can’t believe that we’re on the brink of nuking Iran because a smart Black man in a tan suit once made fun of a reality tv host.
Friends not in the military: reach out to ppl in your circle who have served or are serving and let them know you're thinking of them on this terrifying day. If it's hard for us civilians, imagine how it feels for active military and veterans.
Please call U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM) Public Affairs at (402) 912-0020 and tell them in a respectful way to please honor their oath to the US Constitution and not to follow any illegal orders. You will reach a real person who will take your comment - PLEASE CALL.
Apparently, nobody
Just lying here in bed since 4am losing my mind over the possibility of a nuclear attack on Iran. I knew another Trump presidency would be horrendous. I don't think I envisioned how truly catastrophic it would be.
In all seriousness, one thing that might be worth doing today:
Tell your Reps and Senators to call Adm. Richard Correll, the Commander of U.S. Strategic Command, which controls the nation's nukes, and remind him of *his* unique responsibility to refuse an illegal order.
Good luck! And feel better soon.
quick pubmed search, found this from 2023, Lancet Infx Dz. Link: pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC...
But I haven't done a deep dive recently
I feel like the data on metformin is less convincing than it was a couple years ago
Regardless what you decide, hope you and kiddos feel better soon!
