There were many important democracy bills being considered in the Senate and House. Michelle and Owen testified in favor of 6 of these bills that would make Maryland elections more fair and representative.
Michelle led members of our coalition in supporting SB236 — a bill to direct the State Board of Elections to certify election technology that would support #RCV elections.
Michelle Whittaker spoke at the Everyone Votes MD Legislative Press Conference, alongside advocates, the RCVMD team, bill sponsors, and organizations, supporting the Maryland Voting Rights Act.
Last week in the Maryland General Assembly we stood in solidarity with advocates advancing democratic reforms that expand our democracy by making it more inclusive, transparent, and fair.
