Ah, I'm stupid and had a chroma filter on, so RIP green splits, but was able to save a few more minutes in MMX today. Thanks for watching!
King Kong 2 for the front page tomorrow.
Hey everyone!
Mystery event starts in ~2.5 hours or so from now, so feel free to come check it out later. Everyone had a week to learn the games on the schedule, selected at random!
Here's the schedule: horaro.net/mysteryspeed...

Finished learning before the event tomorrow (and finished my first run, which had 0 unintentional deaths.) VERY good speedrun.
Thanks a lot for hanging out this week as I learned it.
It was sooo much to learn in a week.

This is really cool (he's live now) to listen to if you happen to be around right now. :)
Learned up to Kuwanger (Intro, Chill Penguin + iceless and the magic carpet ride) so far in MMX. Insanely good run, but it'll be interesting how I manage my time in the next few days as this is 100% the game where I can fixate on sections forever. Thanks for watching!

Did you know Mighty Bomb Jack has a little cameo in Solomon's Key? I tested something I read buried in a 26 year old GameFAQ mini guide yesterday, and oddly, it was true!
Thanks to anyone that watches/subscribes.
Very close to 1k!πͺ
I probably will be!
I always randomize the list of participants (we've held this event 5 times now) and this time I wound up first. D:
I'm pretty sure that's just foreshadowing of terrible things to come.
Rest up and feel better!
Imagine if all 32 games were all rated out of 10.
The chaos, Fred! THE CHAOS!
Hey all! About a week left to sign-up for the mystery event (feel free to sign-up for our NES marathon as well).

Really appreciate retweets/likes!
After 32 score attack games chosen now spanning 3 years on the little second channel, this is the best 3 score attack games (and worst 3 score attack games) as voted by everyone who participated. xD

Happy birthday!
Thanks everyone. PP for the first month of three was met. :)
Additionally, feel free to join our two upcoming events: NESDay (May 22nd to May 24th). All NES speedruns, and, our mystery speedrun event (April 18th).

Probably the worst gaming journalism in a while.
Saying there's something new related to a game and omitting it's merchandise, a book, etc.
= instant blocked from me homie.
I mean, he's technically not pooping anymore.
I still will run NES until I'm dead myself, but I do also think GDQ could do more for specifically the community that catapulted them into relevance. :)
Sure, and I agree with that of course, but sadly I do think GDQ doesn't exactly help our community grow using 90% of NES runs submitted as 2:00 a.m. morning filler.
But I also think by now they have corporate obligations to raise money and know where to place what's popular or relevant.
It just means more NES folks applied, which is good, but overall sadly I think the general interest in retro and NES in particular has only trended downward since 2019.
I dunno, I don't think we'll ever have a NES block featured again from 2019 or earlier when it peaked. Funny enough, I just made a spreadsheet yesterday about retro.
Increased acceptance due to increased submissions doesn't mean overall increased interest in NES speedrunning.
I'm honestly genuinely curious to see how many they accept if people submit in mass. I always see on Twitter anyway, a decent amount of NES submissions, but it's also also followed by a lot of NES rejections.
Yeah, or the fact NES is almost always filler slot now at like 3:00 a.m.
I think max for the last few years was 6(?)
I look forward to there being 1 accepted NES game this year. xD
Thanks for supporting my PP. πͺ
1 month of 3 down.
Big thanks, sincerely, for the support this month. Every little bit helps doing this full-time the last two years. :) 12 subs away from learning Mike Tyson as well!
No way. xD
I was given Mexican hot chocolate a few years ago and it had cayenne pepper in it.
It works really well.
I haven't had a hot chocolate in a while.
(Not cinnamon on top. Some chili powder.) :)
Good morning. ResidentSleeper
