Asking “is ______ a sin?” is misses the point.

You’d be hard-pressed to find the word “sin” used with an indefinite article in the Bible, cuz sin ain’t really about a list of rules.

Sin is the destruction of shalom.

The point ain’t to avoid “sinning.” It’s to not live in sin.

There are opportunities for pastors to be pastored, but it's rare for lay leaders to receive that kind of spiritual care. Thankful. /end

As a female volunteer in complementarian spaces, I've done a lot of the work of pastoring without recognition or support. I didn't expect my cup to be filled, but here I am, full, loved, and cared for.
