BREAKING: Zohran Mamdani wins the New York City mayoral race, NBC News projects. nbcnews.to/4nIzNUC
This one is giving me the most Feelings since I finished Summer Season, my previous novel, earlier in the year. That feels like a sign. But also, that's a lot of CHRISTMAS to reckon with. 😂
I've been plotting & reading Christmas novels (I know, I know, but you gotta start early, y'know), and I'm getting quite attached. But my bang-out-a-draft months are Feb, March, and April. I can't decide if I want to commit to year-round Christmas vibes or one of the other projects I've planned. 😭
Congrats!!!
how do I explain to non chronically online peeps who don't understand fanfic, the feeling I get when a rare pair tag I follow on AO3 gets updated with 4 new fics in one week (and all of them banging good) after going 6+ months with nothing????????
With every mini harvest, I feel more and more ready to survive a zombie apocalypse. 😉🧟♂️
A photo of an ancho chili pepper and 3 jalapenos.
The garden is giving. 🤙🫴 The change in weather hasn't slowed it down at all—plenty of peppers, arbols, and tomatoes on their way. Our neighbourhood seems to exist in a year-round bubble of sunshine and warmth. Pros: veggies! Cons: every time it rains, it could be the last time it rains. 😂
Why can't I find the seasonal purple m&m's yet? I've only seen the orange and I want to do some Halloween-themed baking soon. 😭
A Half-Built Garden by Ruthanna Emrys. I feel it needs to be read in schools. 🤯
What I REALLY want are some tomatillo plants, but I can't seem to find any ready to transplant and I'm not Feeling Ready to try growing anything from seed. 😖
Look at them go! Our other chili plant is starting to grow too---can't remember if it's an arbol or ancho plant. We added a bird feeder for the tomato plants (to encourage the birds to yoink any caterpillars). Gonna add some mulch this weekend, maybe get roma toms and red bell peppers!
Two perfectly golden and one slightly burned loaves of bread 🤩
Three cats (two ginger, one black-brown tabby) lounging on cardboard scratchers arranged in a... phallic shape... 🤣
If anyone needs a little scroll break, please enjoy the cats on scratchers! Yes, the layout was intentional... 🤣😂
You MADE this? This is incredible! 😮
Newsweek Charlie Kirk Says Gun Deaths 'Unfortunately' Worth it to Keep 2nd Amendment PUBLISHED APR 06, 2023 AT 05:39 PM EDT UPDATED APR 07, 2023 AT 08:44 AM EDT
Charlie Kirk in 2023: "It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment."
He was wrong. No child, no moviegoer and no conservative commentator should have to die to maintain this perverted notion of the 2nd Amendment.
This is why I give all my MCs loving, happy parents 🤣🤣😂
I don't think he's making it out of this, but yeah, that would be enough. 😬 I certainly don't advocate for political violence, I just have an absence of care for him. It’s a really sad FAFO situation. I feel bad for his kids.
🤷♀️
Every day I add more to my garden (benefits of SoCal is there's no real bad time to plant) and today's addition was an poblano/ancho chile. I now have green & yellow peppers, better bush & beefsteak tomatoes, jalapenos and arbol chiles. Now to plant some herbs to attract wasps/keep hornworms down.
I don't think I helped myself by starting so late in the year—though at least SoCal will stay warm for another couple of months? 🥲 It's such a learning curve.

A photo of a budding jalapeno on the plant.
Something yoinked a pepper in the night (no idea what), but I still have one green bell pepper and one jalapeno growing right now. I just want SOMETHING. I need one win to prove I can do it. 🤣😂
Yesterday was my anniversary, so no writing for me—went to the beach and had Mexican food instead! But tonight, I'll start both my next projects (both unnamed, oops). My goal is discovery writing a few scenes for both. No real word count or time goal, just vibes. I'm looking forward to this #FFYW!
FINALLY watching the Murderbot series with the husband—so far, absolutely loving it. Skarsgard was a perfect choice after all 🤩
oh my gosh I never noticed their expressions, that is too funny. and why are they so far away? 😂embarrassing
Can some of you at least collect art and books and vinyls? I'm doing my part. Use your consumerism for good. 😂
(Let it be known I know Not All Americans, and yes I do live in America now lmaoooo)
I just---does no one else find Americans (the Terrors aside) super cringe? Bro, this is your culture? Guns and cheeseburgers and flags? Is this what you defeated the British for? To be super lame 250 years later? 🤣 At least we got the Polio vaccine outta ya---sorry you don't wanna use it anymore!
