This is the best security read of the year from @mayakaczorowski.com. Three highlights I’m excited about: 1) Security/observability for SaaS vendors (streaming/normalizing SaaS logs), 2) Lakehouse & query portability for SIEM, 3) A new Vault frontend (a wedge to ultimately displace)
@pmorelli.bsky.social - this is fascinating, thanks for sharing! Your experiences at Lyft are exactly this, and I agree that it may require an "external rewrite," especially for simplicity. Appreciate the help thinking this through, and it's good to hear the confirmation!
@benesch.bsky.social - Nikhil, I'm so sorry for the delay here! I'll send you a separate 1:1 message on this. :-)
Great infra tooling was built at Uber, Airbnb, Spotify, etc. These companies were early to the cloud, microservices, centralized data, & deep learning. I wonder if the next wave of infra may come from AI-native cos like Sierra, Harvey, & Perplexity. I’m curious of the tools here!
So glad you could make it @qianli.dev!!!
We hosted our annual(ish) Databases Dinner in SF last week! There were 3 recurring themes among database practitioners: 1) The need for an alternative to Spark, 2) The desire for an alternative to SQL, and 3) Lots of praise for Postgres’ scalability and workloads moving to it.
@dominiktornow.bsky.social - hi! 👋 We are overdue to catch up sometime. 🙂
👋 @reneeshah.bsky.social. All, Renee is a VC at Amplify. She focuses on infra. 🙂
Thank you for the warm welcome @chris.blue! I was inspired by @vickiboykis.com. I wanted to hang with the cool kids.
