That would very likely need to happen in Congress because it would implicate interstate commerce which is the jurisdiction of the federal government. Levying state taxes is one tool we have control over against these massive corporations.

Vulnerable Minnesotans are being manipulated and defrauded by crypto kiosks, and it's time to put a stop to it. We must remove these kiosks from our neighborhoods, which is why we have passed a statewide ban today. #mn

The law passed in 2024 only had a private right of action. The new law has Attorney General enforcement that doesn’t rely on individuals suing. In other states with this same AG mechanism, the threat of enforcement has been sufficient and Pharma follows the law. If they don’t MN can bring action.

Today we passed Sen. Hoffman’s bill to rename MN’s Community Solar Garden Program after Melissa Hortman, who championed its passage.

Melissa knew that fighting climate change and shifting to renewable energy was critical to our future. This is one small part of her legacy of service to our state.

The 340B program was created to help, so that emergency rooms can stay open, pharmacies can keep operating in rural towns, and essential services can be available to all Minnesotans regardless of their zip code.
