Well I benefit from a more focused life. I have a clear goal, I'm a slave to God. So that simplifies some stuff but also makes some stuff more complicated. Also I have access to the Qu'ran, so that provides some useful insight to life and the afterlife.

It's for my benefit in the end, but it takes some stuff out of my life that I used to be able to do. So it appears to be to my detriment to someone who isn't me ;).

Well I wouldn't say I do it for my own benefit. In many ways it seems to be to my detriment.
