- No rule against stealing signs, so entire "scandal" boils down to HOW Stalions stole signs and just that he did so;
- Well documented other teams stole and shared Michigan's signs, so M had no competitive advantage;
- Stalions' only actual violation was moonlighting for CMU.
I don’t think injury concerns has anything to do with it because they had him out there during garbage time against Michigan State a couple weeks ago.

I’m sure the coaches have some rationale for it. But it’s difficult for me to imagine he couldn’t play, say, 50 snaps. It’s not like he’s a 320 lbs DT. And the guy behind him (Cam Brandt) is really just a guy. Poor run defender and no real pass rush chops.
For some strange reason Derrick Moore is only getting about 35 snaps per game even though he’s far and away the best edge on Michigan’s defense. I guess they are trying to keep him fresh but it’s annoying to see other guys in there when opposing offenses are driving.

Some college FB players were lifting at my gym this am. Saw one guy deadlift 495 lbs--first time I ever saw an Olympic barbell sag in real life.
But here's the thing--I've used the same plates, and they have played against guys now in NFL, so my weight plates are one degree of separation from NFL.
Not sure there’s a more humbling experience than going to a gym in the gay neighborhood during peak hours.
