Oh don't get me wrong, I'm all for moderated spaces, but I'm not sure if automation is the right way to do it. E.g. some places have invite trees to (try) to take down sock puppet accounts allowing manual moderation to be more effective.

Thanks for the link, I wasn't aware they had shared details on it. Though I'll believe their business plan when I see it; it's quite typical for VC funded startups to have a phase where they are usable, until they need to turn a profit for their investors and the inevitable enshittification starts.
