This was a bonus extension of our NSFfunded late Pleistocene work at Searles with glacial termination pluvials at T1 and T2, with the same suite of biomarkers (doi.org/10.1029/2022...). Almost all the same suite of biomarkers worked for the longer core collected 50 yrs ago by the USGS.

and our salty lake team - while the Pliocene warmth is famous, deep lakes filled in SoCal during the M2 glacial pluvial, biomarkers say. Open access doi.org/10.1029/2023...
