We are neutral on the amendment to our own PR bylaw change.

Proportional Representation for Boston DSA: Proportional representation helps ensure Boston DSA's big tent is represented in our chapter leadership. The current system, like the U.S. electoral system, relies on winner-take-all races and risks locking minority factions and independents out of leadership. In our current system, if caucus A gets 34%, caucus B gets 33%, and caucus C gets 32% (and there is even distribution of caucus C votes if they are eliminated), Caucus A gets 7 seats, Caucus B gets 3 seats, and Caucus C gets 1 seat. Under the proposed system, Caucus A would get 4 seats, Caucus B would get 4 seats, and Caucus C would get 3 seats.
