One of the weirdest bugs I came across while figuring out render feature hierarchy logic was when our Frog started blinking when selected 🐸
Though really it's just the model material being rendered ahead of the frog's sprite layer
And here's all the render feature tomfoolery in Unity that's going on behind this. In the old system, I just had two of these, but those small fixes meant the addition of three more.
The order of each render feature is super important too, or else you end up with like whole objects turning white
Been fixing up some of Pawsta's outline logic. A classic thing with #gamedev is that when you need to make a change, you have to deal with a load of unforeseen circumstances before you can achieve what you set out to
Anyway, now we have submerged outlines & no weird background texture overlaps
The fox is delightful, definitely would love to see an arctic version too! The parrot stands out to me, it has some fun details! 🦜
