Back once again with another three round Ravens mock draft, this time with the fantastic @ravenstalkpodcast.bsky.social
This one included a trade down in round 1!

I have a draftable grade on three punters and two kickers this year. This punter class rocks, actually:

Alongside the substack I have launched a YouTube channel. Very much still getting to grips with video editing but having fun learning something new:

Miss anything from today's show? Including Brad Brach on the Orioles, @gordonmcg.bsky.social Ravens/#NFLDraft, Maryland MF Eric Spanos and much more?

Ah Steve, lovely to here from you! Appreciate it!
The editor, the graphic designers, social media managers, on screen talent and more.
All incredibly hard working, passionate and smart.
Most of all I will miss how fun it was to take on big events like the NFL Draft with them every year.
A lot has been said about PFF in the past few years, but what a lot of people don't realise is how incredibly hard the small group of us who remained worked in that span.
Every single person who left PFF yesterday will make your organisation better.
Like many others, yesterday was my last day at PFF.
I had an incredible 12 years as a full time member of staff and got to do things I would have never dreamed of when I first fell in love with football as a 14 year old in Scotland.
Unfortunately, I was a part of the PFF layoffs today. Really enjoyed my time there, where I met and worked with so many kind, hard-working and incredibly talented people.
Excited to see what's next. Appreciate y'all.
The most commonly mocked players to the Ravens with the 14th overall pick are Vega Ioane and Spencer Fano, but who is the better fit?

One of my favorite ways to use mock draft simulators is to map out different scenarios, including the worst case scenario. I did that for the Ravens and still think they are in a really strong position at pick 14:

I think you probably want one more outside guy, but it depends what they think of the young guys from last year's class. Which is murky with a new coaching staff
I think Jordan makes a lot of sense. I think Mesidor probably offer more upside because he's still an excellent pass-rusher to go along with the run D chops too
Blessing and a curse. They can easily go a number of ways at 14, but there's also not a clear cut answer
Yeah if they got Clowney my mind would change a bit. There's still upside with Mesidor on a rookie deal though, despite the fact that you might not want to commit to a huge second contract
Can't gate keep this until my next mock draft on Monday, I am starting to be all in on the idea of Akheem Mesidor to the Ravens at 14.
We know they wanted to pair Crosby and Hendrickson, and Mesidor would be a great complement to TH given his run stopping ability.
Age guardrails be damned!
So much points to this being exactly as the Ravens described it and it's just getting ignored. Maddening.
It's hard to believe that Eric DeCosta was counting on the knee of a player he was trading TWO first round draft picks for being 100% beyond two years?
This trade back out has broken brains.
Get Clowney in at edge too and they'll be in a better spot there
Osa would be a phenomenal fit. Also think they should be asking the Bears about Gervon Dexter
Daniel Jones ranked 31st among QBs with a 3.1% big time throw rate in 2025.
That 3.1% rate was his best since 2020.
Lot of money for a player who I don't think elevates your offense.
So the Hendrickson deal is essentially 2 years/$60 million and then the Ravens can make a decision from what I can tell from the early reporting.
Think they'd still prefer Crosby, but it's a good fall back plan.
And they waited until all the top edge defenders minus Hendrickson were off the board to back out? People seem to be missing that the trade falling through hurts the Ravens too
Exactly, the simplest explanation is the most likely one in this scenario
Me when I drop an Occam's Razor reference into the group chat to battle against conspiracy theories on the Maxx Crosby trade
That's all true but I'm sorry I need another 10 minutes to laugh at this then I can panic
Been laughing for 10 minutes straight about the dude who vowed to shave his head if the Ravens traded for Maxx Crosby
