Three raw 3D printed objects on a table. The objects are parts of a hyena leg. There is a paw, an ankle (I think), and a thigh.
A 3D printed hyena leg standing on a table. There is a new lampshade in its packaging on top of the leg.
A telephoto shot looking through a hackerspace. There is an open roll-up door at the end of the space. At the threshold of the door stands an upside down hyena leg with a base coat of tan paint.
A disembodied hyena leg standing on a table. The table has materials and tools for airbrush painting. The leg has a partially finished paint job with a tan base coat and dark brown markings.
The mesh was taken from the Hyenid VRChat avatar by @alberarts.bsky.social, chopped in to 4 chunks, printed out with 2kg of PLA, glued and pinned together, and then painted and sanded a bunch. It definitely needed more sanding and higher print quality, but luckily fishnets hide a lot of crimes.
