In their defense, it's different because before they didn't know they were personally being affected. Now they know that and so now they care.
Ope, I guess that's not really in their defense; more of a scathing indictment on their past action.

I don't think he is the same guy since his stroke. Isn't that when things really took a turn or was he like this before to a degree?
She is not *just* ugly
All the people who would do that have have been booted from the white house press corps.

More of this!
"Entitlement spending" is just another word for mandatory spending (required gov't spending by law). I agree they can't take it, but the term "entitlement" shouldn't be held up as nefarious, that's just what it's called.
"I voted for an abortion ban and all I got was this lousy fascism"
Politically lazy on camera and in conversations that he knew would be deal-breakers. Actions speak louder than words in this one regarding his choice of religious affiliation. So glad Sara saw through that BS.
Those were the pods where things ended early and were never aired. You know, happy people who didn't get dragged through embarrassment and public debate about your personality. I feel like those folks are the real winners of #LoveIsBlind.
No sympathy, but also these stories need to be out there. We need to highlight these. People voted for Trump, but said "he won't actually do all that." Trump voters need to know that they should pay attention to the substance, not just the vibes.
I put him right with Patel, but having a little more fun. He is smart enough to know better about his evilness. Dude came out of suburban CA and had a decent education.
I had to bring this here because it’s so good
When you put it like that, it makes sense.
I'm hearing reports that Trump, after being whisked away to celebrate his great and glorious victory on the international stage, scored 38 under par at his first post-great-and-glorious-victory golf round at mar-a-lago.
WYOMING:
“Thank you, Madam chairman.”
“I prefer ‘Mister’ chairman.”
“Well you all voted preferred pronouns cannot be compelled speech.”
While humorous, I don't think it really matters to Musk at all. Buying Twitter was not about making good business moves, it was A. a fun toy to play with and B. effectively destroying Twitter as a new media pillar and trusted source of information dissemination.
Musk has a new toy.
This is a surgeon who showed up, scrubbed in, looked down at the patient and asked "Baseball bat, please, nurse."
Apparently they took the printed sign, used hidden printer dots to identify the user that did it.
It was printed by a worker named "Null, Null" who is 150 years old. Man, you can't get away with stuff anymore thanks to Tesla's digital super sleuths.
I have to imagine that Jim Comey would do things differently if he had a chance to relive the fall of 2016. Dude could have prevented all of this by just doing the normal thing and not doing that statement shit.
If you haven't heard of it, y'all should use the 5-calls app. It makes contacting your congresspeople and AGs extremely easy and provides scripts for how to cogently talk about the important issues.
While I have no sympathy, these stories need to be shared. Alan is probably an outlier for now, more MAGA voters need to hear about the deep regrets other MAGA voters have now.
There were a lot of non-cult people that voted for Trump too. Misguided people who thought he was all talk.
These people just wanted a stronger economy and lower prices and did not believe the media at all. Warnings went unheeded.
Alan needed to pull his head out of his ass in November, not now.
I've been saying this for years, whenever I have to pee with no place to go. I have no idea why that set of jokes is so indelible.
It's perfect for parents who meet other parents because you can shove the kid's name in there and it pops up as "this kids dad" in a very prominent way
Unfortunately it's not as easy to kill as something like Twitter, which is nothing without its users content. Wapo, even if it is turned into a complete lackey husk has incredible reach and will not just snuff out, especially if bankrolled by an interested billionaire.
There are definitely cases and practices that are doing the opposite (investment financiers buying up existing homes, buying only for short term rentals/AirBnB), but talking about new building aimed at whatever market...more is better and if someone is willing to build it, let them.
My deal is I don't really care too much who pays for new housing as long as it increases supply.
*Someone* has to pay for it up front and they're just not going to build anything if they aren't expecting to make their money back. Most people in need of housing cannot finance building housing.
Yeah, a lot of the comment fights are more about tactics of how to best make more housing available. They're arguing two or three ways forward that are not mutually exclusive.
The *real arguments* are with the old codgers yelling at people to get off their lawns at the community meetings.
