I feel your fear. Some people's treatment of you is totally contingent on you fitting into the box they've assigned to you. But it's also fun and freeing to get them to change their perception and still be good to you. It's partly their nature and your own doing/ handling of the situation

As for printing, look around locally. There's always a "printer guy" that people know at local gaming shops, or ttrpg groups. You can print most of my minis from €5-15 on resin printers (recommended)
