Great breakdown of the differences of additive and multiplicative game design.
They both have their pros and cons but I admit, I'm very sad to see zelda of all franchises become the mascot of multiplicative design.

After playing Silksong, Mewgenics and Stardew Valley, it really feels like the new bar for "indie game" is incredibly high.
I can't judge my own work on that level yet of course but I'm so excited by the idea of one day having 6 years of runway to really push a game this far!

It's always nice to see how someone approaches game dev but on youtube there's a lot of people that haven't finished a game and there's a big pocket of blindspots to them, so this rocks!
Sort of yeh, I wrote a simple template then changed a bit for each one after watching a bit of their channel
I kinda hate things like this being just copy paste, but I do get why people do it, even minor changes make much more work!
