I was really surprised when one of my most junior colleagues said, of the podcast episodes, they enjoyed the history ones the best.

It gave them context for the amazing speciality they’re entering and were also a good study break.

Congrats to everyone who sat this year. This one’s for you

Definitely connecting. I’ve scheduled so many catch ups and podcast recordings over the next few days. I can’t wait!

I’m all booked and I can’t wait.
Looking forward to:

- updates in pulmonary hypertension
- workshop on persuasion
- gala dinner at Parliament House!

And of course, coming together with colleagues, friends and more

Leben Sie in Europa? My impression until now was that US trained/ based like to bounce.

But now this changes everything!

Are you based/trained in Europe? I’m getting a vibe that US trained like it bouncy, Euros not so

We’re discussing merits/risks of no gown for single shot spinals. Epidurals might be a bit too out of our comfort zone though

9 months ago 1 0 2 0

Are you US based or trained? I’m picking up a global divide between constant pressure Europeans and bouncy Americans.

My gut feel is we’re mixed in 🇦🇺. Thoughts @asa-australia.bsky.social @anzca.bsky.social ?

I’m guessing from your name that you were trained/are based in Europe? I’m definitely picking up a Euro - constant pressure versus US - bouncy - distinction

When doing epidurals, do you bounce or apply constant pressure to the LOR syringe?

Sometimes someone has a vision that once you see, you can’t un-see.

Is that disruption? Innovation? Progress?

Whatever you call it, I think this is a brilliant idea and I hope we find more hospitals embracing it

This is such an incredible journey. Imagine you’re an Ivy League educated cardiac anaesthetist. Could you walk away from this career to be your authentic self?

Christmas wreath and plate of cookies and treats from Christmas

In keeping with the theme of learning much about Europe on this sabbatical, today I learnt about bunter teller.

The plate filled with Xmas goodies to snack on whilst (in our case) preparing for our move.
