VICTORY: The Pride flag will be restored at the Stonewall National Monument! 🏳️‍🌈

In a settlement we secured with Washington Litigation Group, the Trump admin agreed to rehang the Pride flag––confirming that the flag falls within federal policy.

there's so much bad in the world but there's also people who lift up and carry an elderly bat around every day so he can pretend he's flying again, and that's the part of the world I think is worth fighting for

Book cover for The Autarch's Heir, by Jo Graham: two woman, one dark-haired, one blond, stand behind an elegant dark man in a dark suit. A golden crown hovers in the background above a cloudy seascape. Text: The Autarch's Heir, Jo Graham. It sounds like a simple job to con man Bel Alan: pretend to be the natural son of the assassinated Calpurnian autarch Iulus and steal the priceless Solaste Crown. But his simple theft may be about to plunge Lono into a bloody civil war, and finding the Blameless Prince to wear the crown may be the only way to stop it. What's a con man to do when the stakes of his game are suddenly the fate of a world?

my hand holding 5 small whistles in cool color combos: a sweet bisexual, a northern lights, a lemon & lime, a pastel rainbow, and a flame colored one.

Okay, it took me three days to finally do this, BUT!

You can buy whistles from us now!

I stress again that getting the whistles free is the OBVIOUS OPTION but some folks want 1-5 Kit Rocha whistles instead of 100 whistles, or to support us. So. OK!

Bruce Springsteen - Streets Of Minneapolis (Official Audio) YouTube video by Bruce Springsteen

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Thread (and not just because I'm mentioned.) Buying direct from a small press maximizes the amount that goes to the creators. And, yeah, this is a good time to do that.

The Shortest Day by Susan Cooper: And so the Shortest Day came and the year died / And everywhere down the centuries of the snow-white world / Came people singing, dancing, / To drive the dark away. / They lighted candles in the winter trees; / They hung their homes with evergreen; / They burned beseeching fires all night long / To keep the year alive. / And when the new year’s sunshine blazed awake / They shouted, reveling. / Through all the frosty ages you can hear them / Echoing behind us—listen! / All the long echoes, sing the same delight, / This Shortest Day, / As promise wakens in the sleeping land: / They carol, feast, give thanks, / And dearly love their friends, / And hope for peace. / And now so do we, here, now, / This year and every year. / Welcome, Yule!

The Silmarillion, but in a spectacularly unlikely to be approved by the Tolkien Estate way. Less "EPIC TRAGEDY SET TO THUNDEROUS HEROIC MUSIC" and more "garbage elves (and humans) achieve occasional moments of redeeming grace in between being messy bitches who love drama and do a lot of crimes."

Granted I am putting them outside rather than killing them because I am a softie, but if it is the same spiders returning, they're persistent and have some unknown means of re-entering the house, which mildly disturbs me. If it's different spiders, who invited them all?

8 months ago 2 0 1 0

The thing I object to is the shower spiders. Spiders, plural. I keep removing shower spiders, and yet there keep being more. My shower is not for spiders. Spiders, no.
