Some of the best art direction and art that's ever been or ever will be in a video game.
If you've never played it it's well worth battling the controls to experience this world.
Hopefully everything here looks good in the edit. This was my first bigger project edited in DaVinci Resolve, and it was a real learning process… but I think I’m gonna stick with it for awhile!
Oh nice! Been on Resolve since 2016 and never looked back! Best for exports, best for editing and color grading, best for sound editing and sound enhancing, just the 3d elements are a bit of tough learning curve in fusion.
If you've never played Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers...
You should!
One of my favorite ones of these I’ve done, I make some new faces and make new sounds too
I just want to put this out into the universe again.
If you are a homebrew game dev of a system that runs on MiSTer (GB, NES,MD, etc) with a free version or a free demo of you game, I’d love to include it in SuperStation’s Season 1 Homebrew DLC Pack.

It might not be intended for the final version, but the actual asset are altered in these examples, just looking at the lips and eyes will tell you everything you need to know about that.
This can't be better than path tracing, because it guesses "lighting" in screen space, it doesn't have a full understanding of the geometry, only a frame or a few frames, it also means that it will make mistakes and it does in many cases here. The futur is true path tracing not this. #dlss5
Haha, the og board, new shell and new screen.
The filters are so yummy. It basically looks perfect to my eye.
It's looking soooooo good my god.
How do I make the time flies when in a plane for 11h? Playing Mario Land 2 on my GBC that I repaired and upgraded with an AMOLED display. The brightness is at 1 btw 🫠
OMG I love the dreamcast dev community

Today on Digital Foundry, our thoughts on the PC version of Resident Evil Requiem along with optimised settings and closest PS5 equivalents. youtu.be/QwGzu2Tdl-Q
Today on Digital Foundry, our first look at Crimson Desert. The BlackSpace Engine looks exceptionally impressive: rich in features, heavy on RT and running at native 4K 60fps on an RX 7900 XTX on ultra settings: youtu.be/Z0pxsi7FU9g
This is huge!
The new Metal Gear Solid 4 remaster finally delivers on the 60fps promise of the very first PS3 tech demo: www.digitalfoundry.net/news/2026/02...
I’m still waiting for an AI film that makes me feel anything other than disgust… or nothing at all. XD
A movie is the expression of something you feel and want to transmit to the viewer. If it isn’t crafted, it simply can’t do that.
Use AI as a technical tool, not as a creative pit.
The key advancement in my latest workflow is the ability to inject true per-pixel detail with temporal stability, alongside per pixel RTGI with full PBR for CGI content, all in native 10-bit color. The 1st is for preservation, the 2nd is for faithful but meaningfully improved remasters.
The color grading is different, but this isn't related to the restoration process. And now all the instability is gone. on GK I only tested for a couple of seconds. Right now I'm remaking the intro of OG RE2 using my lastest improvement I'll do more test on GK after that
Not the exact frame but that's what we are working with for context XD
here's one from GK doc too! I did that a few tests a couple of weeks back to see how it would handle heavy dithered low resolution, low bit depth footage.
Original
Oh, that explains why you needed them haha. For the past year, I’ve been working on a new multi-step restoration and remastering process, and it’s almost ready for prime time 😄I'll share some examples soon ^^ here is a screenshot of my favorite test bed haha.
High on Life 2 - the Digital Foundry review, with Oliver Mackenzie and John Linneman. Squanch Games goes big on Unreal Engine 5 features and by and large it pays off, though Series S suffers: youtu.be/auL5HysyTF0
