33. Agatha Christie Marple: Why Didn’t They Ask Evans
This one really goes round and round but the sets of pairs kind of gives away the murderers. A pretty good story but a bit too much hamminess and the twist felt pegged on to the end.

32. Agatha Christie Marple: They Do It with Mirrors
This one got a bit Jonathan Creek with a touch of Women in Love.

31. Agatha Christie Marple: A Pocket Full of Rye
A very standard motive but quite an intriguing misdirection.

30. Agatha Christie’s Marple: Towards Zero
The most Columbo Marple. Christie must have met a few malignant narcissists, she loved putting them in stories, whether they are the killer or not.

29. Agatha Christie’s Marple: Ordeal By Innocence
One of the more obvious murderers in any of these films. Their constant insertion into the plot is pretty hard to ignore.

28. Agatha Christie’s Marple: At Bertram's Hotel
This one’s a mixture of a lots of little things sort of mushed together to make a long enough story.

27. The Shadow
Some cool characters acted like a whole deli counter full of ham, exactly as this type of comic movie should be. The story could have produced something a little more fun and impressive, but the sets and cg let it down, looking like they ran out of cash part way through.

26. Agatha Christie’s Marple: The Sittaford Mystery
Even though it’s set all over the shop, this one feels very much like a play. This one is stuffed with so many tropes from Christie’s other stories.
Unfortunate inclusion of a prick playing to type.

25. Agatha Christie’s Marple: By The Pricking of My Thumbs
A Tommy and Tuppence mystery with Marple inserted as a point of familiarity. A bit weird with a layer of pointless drivel but, a wonderful nutter of a murderer, although not a whodunit at all.

24. Agatha Christie’s Marple: The Moving Finger
Missed this one, no real changes since ‘85, but theres too much mushed together in the shorter time frame of this series. The romantic relationships feel either emptier or creepier in this version too.

23. Agatha Christie’s Marple: Sleeping Murder
A good twist in this one, although the creepiness of one of the characters and possibly how red they are kind of tells you who did it. I’m pretty sure there’s something missing at the end of this film due to its length.

22. Agatha Christie’s Marple: A Murder is Announced
An overly convoluted murder to fulfil the very simple initial plan that is relatively easy to sort out given the info you’re told and behaviour of the characters.

21. Agatha Christie’s Marple: Murder at the Vicarage
Pretty good if expectedly twee, with a quite believable murder but an over the top coverup, even if I’ve heard of similar irl. Gotta love Marple’s supreme nosiness and ironic nicety. She’s like a smiling shark.

20. Superman
Pretty good, not amazing, felt like it was made as a load of sewed together separate parts, the exposition is also a bit heavy at times. The action is good, Supes not being untouchable is a good take on the character. Mr Terrific and Luthor are the best in show.

19. Black Bag
A great little whodunnit espionage thriller that left me thinking about it after the fact. It feels a little like a high end TV show but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, Tinker Tailor was a great film too.

18. Nobody 2
More cartoony, with less slick action and a cheaper feeling than the first film, with a lot of references to the various John Wicks.

17. Children of Men
A great movie beautifully shot with a ridiculous amount of symbolism and imagery. My only problems with the whole thing are the slightly heavy handed exposition and the constant need for perfect coincidence, although the latter could be explained by divine intervention.

16. True Lies
One of the best action comedies ever made, rides the line between crazy and earnest the whole time. Considering it’s a comedy, this film contains some of the best action sfx of any movie.

15. Total Recall
Insanely high quality schlock, with truly superb sfx, action, and gore. Utterly daft but if you’ve seen the ending you know why.
