An extremely funny thing about retro rereleases that use unlicensed emulators is that you are basically committing the exact same crime (using software outside of the terms of its license) that has you so scared of downloading roms in the first place but now someone has monetized it.

I did set up pretendo! Just kinda for the sake of checking all the boxes, didn't really give it a second thought since I never engaged w miiverse stuff, but now that I think about it it is nice having that organic activity on the home menu compared to the days where i was tinkering with it
(i've got an extra 500gb hard drive set aside for the wii u that's too small to bother putting into my pc so it's perf for this, always been a physical disc guy so i've never really done much with external storage for games, so this is a new experience for me)
this is the guide i followed btw, wiiu.hacks.guide only thing i didn't have was an SD card bigger than 32gb, grabbed a 128gb one so i could move more games at once (and in theory could load games off the SD card with an app on the homebrew channel?)
was surprised by how easy it was to homebrew! Haven't quite figured out how to put emulators on it the way I did for the SNES Classic, might just end up keeping my SNES and prior stuff on that and just use the Wii U for N64 and up, wish i could have the same kind of Hakchi setup on the Wii U...

The โ60s British Invasion captivated America with music and in the โ90s Argonaut did the same for games. We developed the Super FX chip, bringing hardware-accelerated 3D to consoles, and Star Fox, which launched in the USA 33 years ago today ๐โญ๐ฆ

Mamma Mia, it's the 30th birthday of Super Mario RPG! Released for Super Famicom on this day in 1996!
This was one of my huwuh, there's a SUPER MARIO RPG?! moments in my early ZSNESing and ROM-playing days. And yeah, what a wonderful experience it turned out to be and remains.

Digital artwork of a dragon head caterpillar (Polyura schreiber) with the many dots on its horned head and chubby body rendered to resemble little stars, a few actually being tiny four-pointed stars. Above its head a partially eclipsed moon is framed between its inner horns, and large four-pointed stars rest on the center of its upper head and hang on either side of its head between its outer horns. More stylized rays and stars radiate out into the edges of the image, rich textured gold against a dark blue framing the green bug's body. The caterpillar is outlined in metallic gold and has fairly realistic face details and feet. Art by Moth Monarch.

This post is going viral, but this isn't walking back. It's reiterating the initial press release. There's no new information in this post, aside from them saying they're using a different ID partner (which doesn't solve that problem) and the Reddit joke. Everything else is the same. Keep pushing.
