Andy Goram. Known as the Goalie. Signed for Rangers from Hibs in the summer of 1991. Won 5 league titles in his time at Ibrox. A nomadic career followed even featuring 2 games for Man Utd. Won 43 Scotland caps and in the early years of his career played top level cricket too. Sadly died in 2022. RIP

My dad was never too fussed about football, notionally a Brighton fan I doubt he could tell you the name of a single player. with no influence I watched on tv and saw John Barnes. Liverpool it was. I had no concept that Liverpool wasn’t near where I lived and it stuck. Dad took me to some LFC games
