A very small 12pt Weiss and Italic, Mac McGrew in American Metal Typefaces of the Twentieth Century said “Weiss and Italic were cut by Intertype in 1935, as copies of the same face as designed by E.R. Weiss and cast by the Bauer Type Foundry in Germany.

Mystery solved!!! Initially identified as Carnival 30pt is in fact Trafton Script 30pt, such a beautiful typefaces. Designed by Howard Allen Trafton, New York artist and designer, in 1933, and cut by Bauer Type Foundry in Germany.
