Honestly, those worried about Easter egg prices go to Costco.
They not only pay fair wages, part time and full time jobs are awesome, benefits they also have eggs for under $8.00 for 18 eggs.
They support DEI and are a company that has online shopping as well as in store. 1/2

Different seasons was the first book I read from S. King. It truly shows the authors versatility.
I am not done with the book yet, but so far I am not very hopeful mainly when you see that society today would not be too far away from getting into those stages. I bet it would take less than a year for us to turn on each other. Maybe I am hopeful since I believe we have a full 1y of humanity left.
Very happy with my new garden flag! #bannedbooks #library

qualified, they didn’t continue the process either. But I have seen teams without diversity struggle to innovate compared to diverse teams. Everyone learns with a diverse team.
Today we see the companies that meant it and the ones that were doing it just because they were required. And to be clear, through all my interview process and career moves, I have never heard of a DEI hire. If I don’t know my shit, I didn’t get to the next phase. If people I interviewed weren’t
When I was in college, a lot of companies showed up at the career fair with the message we care for people. Some friends and I even counted the # of companies that said people and diversity were the company’s values. I said then, they say this because they are forced to. Because it is the law.
These photos were taken from Florianópolis from our trip to Brazil in December 2024. What a great view from our hotel room. My family and I had such a blast. Go see Brazil when you all can! I am sure biased. #travel #trip #brazil
Gladly, the book is so intriguing with an easy flow that I couldn’t stop reading and I finished it on time. Of course the book had more details than the movie, but they are both great artwork and information about the dictatorship in Brazil and its impact. I truly recommend both.
On Tuesday I started reading this book, “Ainda Estou Aqui/I am still here”, by Marcelo Rubens Paiva. The book that inspired the movie nominated for the Oscars. I had to finish it by Thursday, so I could go watch the movie without spoiling my book. #books #oscarnomination #movies #iamstillhere
I wish people would understand how much immigrants sacrifice. It is not easy to leave your friends, family and comfort behind. There are so many reasons people migrate and it is not always on people’s control. I pray for more compassion in the world. I show my son how to be compassionate.
In a few days I will return to the US from Brazil, where I grew up. I have been a legal immigrant for 10 years and now a US citizen.
I don’t know what I will find when I come back from my vacation that started late December. I do hope that empathy and kindness is still prevalent in my community.
