A lot about the world is very heavy right now but if a college football podcast that got jettisoned by Vox during the pandemic for not having a marketable audience can raise this much money for refugees in Atlanta in two days then just think of all the stuff we can all do together

I’ve been saying for like 10 years that I think this might be the best song that’s come out in my life

calling CD players and VHS “inconvenience” is a direct attack on my character

I’ve been rooting for this team for 22 years and I’ve never seen them win a playoff series

This is a pretty significant part of the Bowie story, even!

It was an extraordinarily human moment. Humanity feels a little more tangible when surrounded by nothing but machines and darkness; Wiseman's is a soft beating heart in a big black void that has carried everything, even its grief, farther than any heart has ever been. And now when he and his daughters look up to the Moon, he'll be able to point to Carroll Wiseman's memorial. When we explore, we bring our humanity with us, and leave it wherever we go.

honestly didn’t even think this team would make the final four, ended up giving it all they had against the best team all season and only fell a little bit short. what a great run, nothing at all to be disappointed by

I’m joking! They’re both better than Randa/Burnitz!

…have you?

or maybe just having 40 year old Joe Randa starting at third was on you, idk

I think that just means you were a child at the time. Says me, the guy who that same year thought Jason Richardson would be “the key to unlocking the Bobcats potential”

it’s not surprising exactly but it is still shocking just how fast we’ve moved from “woke was excessive” framing to open and explicit white male supremacy

yeah, it’s almost like I’m talking about entirely different movies, and not this one that hasn’t come out yet

I haven’t but seems interesting!

fittingly, I feel like this happened less often since the Surf Dracula tweet dropped

well yeah I mean I haven’t seen this movie yet either, I’m criticizing *other movies*

of course, am I also on record as loving 10 Cloverfield Lane and really enjoying how they incorporated the ARG in really subtle ways that enhanced the experience if you knew what they were? yes. I contain multitudes.

(my defense is that 10 Cloverfield Lane still would’ve been great without that)

the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie comes to mind, because a movie about a haunted Chuck E. Cheese is so up my alley, and then I watched it and it was mostly about how the Chuck E. Cheese became haunted instead of showing me the haunted Chuck E. Cheese

I think my issue with these types of movie is that I actually think they could be cool and interesting and fresh, and they usually end up just being loredumps. 80% backstory, 20% story. Boring!

the hardest I’ve ever laughed at twitter, generally, is of course The Shoe Roast

the hardest I ever laughed at an individual tweet was Dac remixing Post To Be, where after Omarion and Chris Brown sing their intro tags, he just yells “KEEEEVVVIIIIIINNNNNN”

got it, it’s Doogal

I really need to know which one this is, because something about this description makes me think it’s a movie I have watched

(unless…it’s Doogal??)

All the anti-trans women in sports crusaders will primarily be remembered as just being insane misogynists for reimplementing invasive sex testing as a standard
