You might get to present one though!

Congrats dude!
I wonder what they'll do when the school smartphone ban doesn't solve all the issues they're ascribing to social media
Looks like Treguard would be sitting on a throne in the corner saying 'Ooh, nasty' whenever you roll a fumble.
22.00 FILM: EVRI-THING, EVRI-WHERE ALL AT ONCE Award-winning multiverse adventure where your parcel is somehow at the depot, in transit, in your safe place, left with a neighbour, delayed, returned to send, in your green bin, all at the same time - but never actually with you.
Based on a true story. About a dozen true stories in our experience...
Amen to that.
Our coding standards have evolved rather than been reworked wholesale at any time. I would never hold our codebase up as a shining example or anything - it has some significant flaws that make our lives awkward at times - but it is undeniably effective and has proven very flexible.
Rebellion is perhaps a little unusual in that our internal engine has been in continuous development since that time. From the PS2 & Xbox onwards we've used a core engine with project-specific extensions. That architecture is largely still intact though the code itself has been revised and reworked.
Neat!
Team sizes & timescales would be the obvious ones. We made Snood in 3 months & there were only 4 full-time team members. I was the most experienced coder on the team which isn't saying much at all!
We're a lot more structured now. Code reviews, continuous integration, etc. It's night and day!
Hehe, better yet, why not treat myself to some -old- minis to celebrate...? ๐ค
Thanks! Time flies and all that!
I'd had about ten days of poking a GBA devkit, looking at the example code, and a sum total of three months of professional game development when I got told I needed to have something functional up-and-running to show the publisher in a fortnight's time. It was... exhilarating, to say the least. ๐
The cover of Snood for the Gameboy Advance showing a collection of colourful characters of various shapes and sizes.
Snood for the GBA, of all things.
Thanks Sir! I should probably have made more of it but, uh, I've been a bit busy! ๐
I'd kind of forgotten in all of the (good) bedlam at work & at home but I joined @rebellion.com 25 years ago this month. Mad to think it's been so long - it's been quite the ride so far & I'm in no hurry to get off. Nice of the BAFTA folks to plan the award to coincide with my anniversary so neatly.
In other 'Rebellion-made cool stuff' news:
They put this on the glass wall that separates the canteen from the rest of Rebellion's Oxford office. It's still awesome.
Anyone know of any UK-based pixel art animators looking for freelance work this year? Asking on behalf of a friend's project!
Thanks man! It was a rather surreal night!
A large white waterfowl with orange feet stands in front of a door. On the door is a cardboard sign secured with tape that reads, "DO NOT LET THE DUCK IN." Adding insult to injury, I think the duck might be a goose.
Whatever you do,
Excellent stuff, as ever. Especially the stabby bits!
That was neat. Intrigued to see where it goes next.
The first short story for Zeo Genesis is now available for your reading pleasure.

I've heard that but never actually seen it that I can recall. I imagine it's less common but probably still a thing here and there.
Damn that is _clean_.
No, it passed me by, like so many. I'd heard of it but never dug into the details.
here's the trailer for the game in case anyone wants www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMzC...
