To be honest I didn't realise the Pope was supposed to be out fighting crime.

Took the kids to see Future Council, an inspiring documentary about children challenging companies on their environmental impact. They thought it was amazing. I'd recommend to anyone interested in the climate, especially for kids. #futurecouncil

Love it! My son has a subscription to The Phoenix and when he's read an issue he always passes it to his big sister to read JUST Squid Bits as that's her favourite.

Thoroughly enjoyed Out of the Box at Bingley Arts Centre today (even if I was called up onto stage for a big part of the show). Excellent family fun, my kids aged 8 and 11 loved it!

Had an amazing time at @wifiwars.bsky.social show yesterday! Would recommend to anyone. My 8 year old son decided to give himself the handle 'Giant Poo' for some reason.

My 11 year old daughter set up a book group on Friday and seven of her friends came round to talk about books (and play). After all the talk about kids not reading, it was heartening to see their enthusiasm. The kids will be alright! #booksky

Maybe a cheat because it's a tag team, but the Lunchadores at Blackheart Wrestling. Especially when they called my 8 year old son up to join their entrance!

It's happening!! In June 2026, Squid Bits: That's a Nice Hat will be coming out! This book is a collection of some of the Squid Bits comics I've been working on since 2014 for The Phoenix and it's so exciting to finally see it in book form! There're some vintage SB strips in there too!

Got this as a birthday gift today, along with another horror book called The Troop (looks fantastic) and an Edgar Allan Poe collection. So I should be ok for horror for a while! #booksky

Amazing afternoon of Robo Bingo with @foxdogstudios.bsky.social in Bradford. My 8 year old was Minty Raven and was crying with laughter through most of the show! I highly recommend.

Government will not 'be held to ransom' by doctors strike, says Wes Streeting The health secretary is refusing to make concessions on pay after the BMA announced a further walkout.

Wes Streeting says "little or no support" for striking docs. Let's prove this cunt wrong. Repost if you wanna show solidarity with essential workers fighting for their rights after years of underfunding and real terms pay cuts. Who's with me?

Warhammer figure

Kids have taken a real interest in Warhammer after trying it out on a school open evening. Took them into the shop at the weekend and they had their first try at painting a model. Part done but looking great so far.

Was just playing Heads Up with my wife and in the Wrestling category she gave the clue 'a thousand thousand American pounds fella'. Is that obvious for any #wrestlesky friends?
