Spellslinger, discard, and artifacts are typically what mono red does best imo. There's exceptions though, like I wouldn't run it in Clive for example

No, though most mono red decks I make have synergies to make them worth it for me

I'm surprised the Japanese Mystical Archive cards don't match the booster's language by default? Does it not make more sense that you open cards you can read?

I'm sure wotc did their research and decided no, people prefer the text in Japanese. But I can't wrap my head around it

What's the distinction between a Wizard and Sorcerer in MTG?

In D&D the difference is learned magic versus innate mage

In MTG the difference seems to be either having creature support versus having zero 😭

Every time a sweet new Wizard support card appears I get salty all over again about WOTC turning Melek into a dumb Detective.

I like how the new art of the Strixhaven dragons make them seem more closely aligned with their school. They act more "human" which in this case fits better to me.

If the schools are founded and based on themselves, it makes sense that they enjoy doing the same stuff their own school teaches

Reward me for playing cards I normally wouldn't play! Don't reward me for playing the most popular and powerful generic staples!

Make the player work for the value!

I get it, super easily powerful = popular = $$$. But man. It bums me out sometimes.

I really dislike how in the main set they reward you for actually spending mana on your big spells, only to ignore the mana spent restriction in cmdr products.

More powerful? Sure. But rewarding you for running free spells -- aka the best spells you already run -- is BORING
