OMG what the hell is their PROBLEM?! The latest series was superb, and did really well both in reviews and viewing figures. Away to cancel Prime video, again. 🤬

Much as I love the books, the show has been better at depicting complex, interesting characters. (Pretty much all of them tbh but Liandrin stands out most for me). Siuan storyline is better in the show, and the series has cut some of the sillier book romances out, thankfully!

I’m another fan of Moiraines hat, and I feel like the good milliners of the world need to start selling it, somewhere. It’s a good sunhat!

To find out the perspective of people whose lives are very different from your own: the world would be very dull if everybody thought and did the same things. Not everybody is able to travel, but this is something most people can do quite easily.

I love the books as well as the show but much prefer TV Liandrin to book Liandrin. TV version is a much more complicated and interesting character, and her backstory being shown really adds a lot.

Shoreh is a superb casting choice, she’s absolutely perfect.

I think the photos in the news of the herd of police lined up outside a Tesla showroom recently sums up very concisely just how close to home she was with that!

Maybe not implemented irl the exact way she has written, but ‘pay to play’ definitely operating on some levels there.

She’s absolutely brilliant. Completely steals the show every scene she’s in. 😍

Oh god, I’m onto Crossroads of Twilight now and I have to say all this Camelyn-politicking is…not my favourite! I have wanted to rattle the youngsters from time to time, but I took that as deliberate and part of the fun.
You’ll hear me shout if that tramp Renna gets a redemption arc!!

I think it’s part of its charm. They start out as teenage kids, who have to help save the world, and despite being good hearted people doing their best, they still need guidance from time to time. Kind of a running WoT theme that “massively OP doesn’t automatically equal wisdom/leadership skills”

It’s like when my friend and I rewatched the Fresh Prince a couple of years ago, and realised we were old gits now because we kept taking Uncle Phil’s side 😂

I do actually like that the youngins are flawed and often a bit daft - it’s the realistic side of the whole thing.

I bloody love Cadsuane. She just appears out of retirement like “RIGHT. You bloody children are making a horses arse of this. You need a proper grown up to sort you all out”.
If I’d read it first as a teenager/20 something I might have felt different but as an adult reading it I’m like: well…yes!
