I'm glad I got to experience it once. Bummed I won't get to again. Also wish that I got to experience the original StormRider but the window for that closed years ago

(Reassuringly) No, see, this is like Vietnam
The Sandy Hook families deserve so much more but this is a well deserved victory
Remember: Before he was The Onion's CEO, Ben was an outstanding reporter on misinformation, and that led him to spend a huge amount of time in really dark places, and to become a target himself for some of the worst people out there. For all the jokes, which are great, that past informs his present.
I'll openly admit that over the last few years ive grown more than a little jaded by how the OT gets put on an untouchable pedestal. And I love those movies too, always have, but its been a tough time to be a (2/3 of the) ST defender
Eh New Republic era works for that adjusted shop and seems to be what they're going with for the outpost in general but your point is taken overall
Every other mandalorian has some kind of highlight color palette to help them pop on screen
Sinking in the mines worked cause at least the armor was working against him
That's good to know. Losing all traces of the ST in the outpost, with Kylo getting banished to Launch Bay stings enough as it is
Heroes who lose and whose victory isn't assured are more compelling and interesting
See: indiana jones who gets his ass beat every movie
Probably not even that hot a take: the pre-beskar outfit is just more visually interesting and has the benefit of not being an uber-imprenetrable armor that by its nature lowers tension of danger to him. He could actually get beat down in the first armor which is better for IMO for story
Reminder from 2019, about that 10% he doesn't define -

Presumably cause the interstitial segments are tied to the ST. Sure hope they have a new replacement coming or this is another just straight up removal being done
Don't know if this is cause of the upcoming timeline change in Galaxy's Edge in the next 2 weeks or just a maintenence thing but they aren't playing the Black Spire Outpost radio in the restrooms near Droid Depot on DL Galaxy's Edge now.
>unarmed pleasure vessel inexplicably capable of running a blockade
What did he know?
And the thing is!!! With Ossoff actually running right now, it's clear he understands this is a winning message.
Gonna spend the next two years spamming every elected Dem about the concept of "damnatio memoriae." Chisel his name off every inscription. Build over the various Trump Towers like they're Nero's Golden House. Remove him from physical memory, not to forget but as a sign of disrespect to the man.
I do think killing the Forest Service is strong late entry that will have generations long impacts
This is how we find out that the star wars universe is actually a giant time loop that starts and ends with yoda
this is just a warmed over david duke speech from 1990
It's harder to measure but I feel like RFK Jnr shutting down funding for MRNA research is actually up there with DOGE cuts and this latest Iranian war as a contender for Most Evil Things Trump II has done. Accounted properly, this regime is really wracking up 20th-century-dictator kill counts imo.
He doesnโt even understand what the purpose of his own blockade is. Iran is blocking all ships except its own, while the U.S. is blocking only Iran. So no, they are not redundant and they are not โhelping us without knowingโ.
Pope Leo XIV @Pontifex X.com #ArtificialIntelligence systems increasingly shape and permeate our mentality and social environments. Like every great historical transformation, this too calls not only for technical competence, but also for a humanistic formation capable of making visible the logic behind economics, embedded biases and forms of power that shape our perception of reality. 1:31 PM โข 4/17/26 โข 91K Views
Pope Leo XIV @Pontifex X.com Within digital environments โ structured to persuade โ interaction is optimized to the point of rendering a real encounter superfluous; the otherness of persons in the flesh is neutralized, and relationships are reduced to functional responses. Dear friends, you, however, are real persons! Creation itself has a body, a breath, a life to be listened to and safeguarded. 1:31 PM โข 4/17/26 โข 209K Views
Pope Leo XIV @Pontifex X.com When simulation becomes the norm, it weakens the human capacity for discernment. As a result, our social bonds close in upon themselves, forming self-referential circuits that no longer expose us to reality. We thus come to live within bubbles, impermeable to one another. Feeling threatened by anyone who is different, we grow unaccustomed to encounter and dialogue. In this way, polarization, conflict, fear and violence spread. What is at stake is not merely the risk of error, but a transformation in our very relationship with truth. 1:31 PM โข 4/17/26 โข 696K Views

This short thread is worth reading:
a bunch of ppl & institutions knew dual class stock was bad from the get-go and yet everybody crumbled in the face of the most ridiculous argument in the world that these founders were just so smart and special we should cede control of our economy (and retirement funds) to them
What the Dem platform for 2028 must be:
1. Epstein Trials
2. ICE Trials
3. War Crimes Tribunals
We donโt want to hear about a $10,000 tax credit for starting new AI businesses.
We demand JUSTICE.
this is amazing. pancreatic cancer is DEVASTATING and moves quickly.
too bad out gov't would rather defund everything that might actually save people.
Salute to an all-time tweet
Of all the points in that Palantir thread, point 9 is definitely the most darkly ironic. We have already reached that end state my dude, but itโs definitely not from lack of forgiveness.
