Life is so much more chilled without hate. Racists should try it sometimes

We are somehow living in a world that three deranged geriatrics are quite happy to destroy on their way out.

The Labour Party has changed from its origin representing the working class to representing the working. Now they are in government they have eroded their responsibilities to those that cannot work but are still working class.

Britain’s electricity is currently 72% zero carbon.

We’re defeating the oil barons, petro-state dictators, paid fossil fuel lobbyists, and every right wing grifter on the internet one wind turbine at a time.

Cool Britannia is back, baby…🇬🇧⚡️♻️🔋😎

Just think of the more powerful position we could have been in if it wasn’t for Brexit. Brexit played us right into Trumps hands. Thank goodness Starmer is not buckling under Trumps pressure

I was never a Corbynite but with Labours antisemitism as was I do wonder how much Mandelson was behind Starmers appointment and what loyalty Starmer felt he owed him

How much was Mandleson involved in Starmer’s Labour readership appointment. It was of course to overthrow Corbyn.

Let’s hope Labour start listening to some of their backbenchers and realise the vile rhetoric
of Reform is not what the country really wants

For good or for ill, some potential Reform voters will be more repulsed by graceless bad losers than they are by racist liars.

It’s the best news to wake up to. Let’s hope Labour start listening
to some of their back benchers and realise the vile rhetoric of Reform is not what the country really wants

@mrjamesob.bsky.social not heard this analogy before but are Reform not the hyenas of today’s politics-scavenging on the remains of the hounded vulnerable in society brought down by Tory austerity

@mrjamesob.bsky.social I’ve not heard this one - what is the collective noun for a group of Reformers- A poo tin 🤣 Bet it made you snigger a bit

It’s going to attract the extreme right within the Tory party and question the morals of those central Tory supporters. Will their conscience guide them to fight against racism?

An aging population has a huge financial impact but they don’t want to be upfront with that

4 months ago 0 0 0 0

If the government explained that the financial impact of supporting an aging population is partially behind their drastic budget measures wouldn’t it be easier for many to swallow

4 months ago 2 0 0 0

@peterstefanovic.bsky.social you seem an intelligent person with a good moral grounding. All nations are struggling with the understandable impact financially of supporting an aging population. If the government came out and said as much with empathy wouldn’t that help with public discourse

How many of those living their best life’s then would still be kicking around if it wasn’t for the breakthroughs in medicine and medical care

The Regt Col at the time was female and Jaysleys horrific experience at the hands of this frightening man was not dealt with appropriately. What hope is there?

Andrew Windsor temporarily lost his home, Michael Webber temporarily lost his freedom. Two young women lost their life’s after their horrendous experiences with these men. When will people start protecting the innocent ones rather than the evil ones.

Andrew Windsor lost his home, convicted sex offender Michael Webber lost his freedom, but more importantly 2 young girls lost their lives because of their horrific experiences with these men

For those pleading the case for the 1 million mortgage crowd. I would imagine to get a £1m mortgage your salary must be way above the average salary so my empathy ends there. You can always have a smaller mortgage and a smaller house.

Women in support of the trans+ community - Not in our name

We want the media and politicians to recognise that there is a large number of women who are supportive of the trans+ community. We call on them to report truthfully about the sources of violence against women and to address the systems that perpetuate harm. notinourname.org.uk/petition/not...

@owenjones.bsky.social why do we not talk about the impact the aging population has on resources? So many blame immigration on NHS, Welfare cost, housing. It won’t be popular and we can caveat with the humanitarian side but it should be included in discussing the challenges we see.

6 months ago 2 0 0 0

@owenjones.bsky.social there is just one issue that no one ever wants to talk about which is the impact of an aging population on NHS, welfare, care and public service costs, instead it’s immigration that leads the way why resources are so stretched in this country

@mrjamesob.bsky.social first caller today what a top man. I know a lot of people won’t admit it but we have become such a racist country enabled by the media unfortunately. It’s so sad that hatred is more popular than hope and promoting hatred is a money earner 😥
