The EU says that everything the Georgian Dream claims, from the EU dragging us into war with Russia to them impregnating Georgian men, is a lie.

Without this, their appetite for crushing the defiant youth will only grow. And I can’t bear to witness another tragedy unfold in my homeland.

If you can offer even limited support - just enough to undermine the regime’s claim of close ties with the U.S. - we may finally be able to break their illusion of invincibility and push toward a free, fair election.

Now, we have a historic opportunity to set things right and become what we have always aspired to be:

A country where people live with dignity;
A country where the government listens to people;
A country where people do not have to choose between imprisonment and servitude.

But that would miss a much simpler, and perhaps clearer, point:

We, the Georgian people, have fought for centuries for our rightful place among civilized nations. Time and again, we have been left to face the Goliath alone.

I could provide numerous geopolitical arguments for why it's important to support Georgia. I could speak at length about how the U.S. benefits from a democratic ally in the Caucasus region. I could even point to the lies and slander the current regime has spread about the U.S. and Mr. Trump.

The regime is increasingly hostile toward democratic forces in Georgia. Leaders of various opposition parties are already in jail. Free media is under assault. Members of civil society live under a constant threat of imprisonment. The situation is dire.

Right now, I am a little guy resisting a Goliath that has captured the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of power – as well as the majority of the internet & media space.

However, there is a major difference between standing up to an autocratic system with powerful allies or standing alone.

I love my country. I want to live in my country. And I am willing to die so that others here can continue living here. I do not expect you to solve all my problems – my fight will continue regardless of your decision.

Dear Senators,

I am an average Georgian citizen, and I have been fighting against the autocratic shift in my country for more than a year now. I know the MEGOBARI Act has been placed on hold due to your decision, so I want to share a few thoughts in an attempt to change your mind.

This is an open letter to Senators Markwayne Mullin, Mike Lee, and Rand Paul.

We shall win this fight together! And once we do, I invite every one of you to Georgia to celebrate together! 🇬🇪❤️🌍

Finally, I wanted to say: thank you for your continued support! I am forever grateful to every follower and/or supporter of Georgian democracy.

They will either have to kill us en masse, which they absolutely cannot do (we're just too small for that), or they will eventually have to give up to our demands.

Secondly, it shows our enemies that we're here, and there is no amount of intimidation tactics that is going to work on us. There's no compromising our souls.

Firstly, I think this shows our allies that we're consistent in our request, and they should do everything within their power to speed up targeted sanctions against the regime.

3. It shows that people REALLY do want free and fair elections and the release of the political prisoners.

2. It shows that the core of the protest movement is still very much here, even though you do not see big numbers every evening.

Historically, Georgia has protested during autumn, winter, and spring; however, it's the first time in probably 100 years that we're protesting in the summer; shattering yet another propaganda narrative "gEorGiaNs caNnOt pRoTesT iN sUmmuR".

1. Day 234 of the protest with such a high turnout in burning heat on Saturday (a lot of people in Tbilisi go out of town on weekends in summer) is crazy.

Today was an important day for Georgia; here's why:

The Soviets had a plan:
“Georgia without Georgians.”
And right now, that plan is being fulfilled.
Silently.
Steadily.
Deliberately.

The regime may soon offer them citizenship.
Voting rights included.
Once this happens, Georgia’s political future is no longer in Georgian hands.

Russia, Iran, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ghana, Eritrea, Yemen, Congo, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, Uganda…
And many others.

And this ties into something much darker:
Real estate and regime profits.
High-risk countries have visa-free access.
Many exploit legal loopholes to stay long-term — or forever.

Most immigrants are:
Russians, Belarusians, Indians, Azerbaijanis, Armenians, etc.
Very few learn Georgian.
Very few assimilate.
This matters.
