Wow, who could have ever seen this coming?

I usually consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable about current Internet trends & memes. But then I read the sentence "the 24 karat labubu lady made a racially motivated labubu and has been cancelled," and I instantly feel the urge to yell at some kids to get off my lawn or something.
I found out that "The Tiny Chef Show" existed at the same time I found out it had been cancelled. If the show is half as impactful as the video announcing its cancellation, I can't imagine why it was cancelled. #JusticeForTinyChef
The "Kombucha Girl" meme with text that says "New Tron movie" next to the girl making the "Maybe" face and text that says "Jared Leto is in it" next to the girl making the disgusted face.
I was so excited by the trailer for Tron Ares until it got to this part. That's gonna be a no from me, dawg.
Booker finally yields after more than 25 hours of speaking 👏👏👏
I'm invested in this Cory Booker thing for the sheer joy of watching that old racist fuck Strom Thurmond get dustbinned by history as he so richly deserves
Two rows of books. The top row is two books about the rise of the Nazis in Germany, the bottom row is copies of the United States Constitution.
Subtle product placement at the bookstore tonight.
One big reason I love being in charge of the music for work events is that, every now and then, I can sneak in something like this and nobody is the wiser. #Zelda #Jazz

Star Trek The Next Generation scene. We're either playing dress up on the holodeck or on the streets of a city in the 1930s. We see Picard, Data, and some other non series regular standing and reading the papers. (Note for dear readers: "the papers" refers to a past time-- unrecognizable to you now--where physical paper was covered with the news inkly pressed unto its pages for people to read and understand, prior to "the world wide web") Ok back to our screenshot, all 3 gents are wearing trench coats and suits and ties and fedora type hats. Closed caption reads, "Hitler on the move."
Not the banner you want seeing over this article from … checks notes … 8 days ago
A screenshot of the TikTok logo with a sign for the popular Halloween chain "Spirit Halloween" pasted over top.
Man, they move quick!
Star Trek Voyager scene. I think we're in the ready room and we're looking at Janeway in uniform and she's a little bit irritated. Closed caption reads, "This was supposed to be a 20-minure presentation."
It's on your blog, you said? I just wanted to be sure. 😉
A screenshot from WWE's Monday Night Raw that shows Hulk Hogan, a retired professional wrestler wearing a red bandana, yellow sunglasses, and a black T-shirt that reads "Real American Beer." A subtitle above Hogan's head reads "[CROWD BOOING]."
When you get booed out of the building so badly Netflix has no choice but to acknowledge it in the subtitles
Screenshot of text which reads "Eligibility confirmed: Randy, you'll lose access to your files if you don't act soon!"
Dear @dropboxofficial.bsky.social - my "files are about to stop syncing" for what seems like the last five years now. These emails alleging that I'm somehow going to lose access to my files are misleading, because my files are still there. Stop trying to sell upgraded plans by tricking people.
Lost #Whamageddon on Day 1 yesterday. I feel like such a failure.
A screenshot of a TV guide for the Sling app showing the movie "Godzilla" is playing, but the year the movie came out is not specified.
A detailed screenshot of a TV guide listing which shows that the 1998 "Godzilla" movie is showing.
The 1998 "Godzilla" movie should be subtitled "The Bad One," so I don't waste 3 seconds of my life expanding a TV guide listing just to find out that it's this abomination.
This doesn't appear to still be working. I chose a label and it's not appearing on my account.
It's important to me that my child learns about this shameful period of American history. These events must not be forgotten, and we must continue to learn from the mistakes of the past so that we don't repeat them.
Thank you to the authors for writing these incredibly important books!
There's so much uncertainty about what schools might be allowed to teach in the future. There's a looming possibility of similar acts being committed by our government again. It sometimes feels like we are repeating history because so many have not learned from it, and that's a scary thing.
When I was in high school, I had the good fortune to have a US History teacher that refused to shy away from this topic (a rarity in South Carolina). The fact that these shameful and atrocious acts were committed against fellow Americans shocked and angered me, even as a teenager.
Two books side by side. On the left is "Love in the Library" by Maggie Tokuda-Hall (illustrated by Yas Imamura); on the right is "My Lost Freedom: A Japanese American World War II Story" by George Takei (illustrated by Michelle Lee).
My wife picked up "Love in the Library" by @maggietokudahall.bsky.social at @yallfest.bsky.social this weekend, so it seemed like a good time to also grab "My Lost Freedom" by @georgetakei.bsky.social since it had been on my wish list for some time.
DS9 scene. Q is pictured, wearing a "tank top" and sporting a manly man's old tymey mustache. His fists are up as if he's boxing, and the camera POV is us like we're the opponent. He has kind of deranged hornet eyes for some reason. Closed caption reads, "Fisticuffs, pugilism, the manly art of self-defense."
I'm not a fan of boxing. Don't care at all for UFC. But, man, am I rooting for Jake Paul to get KTFO tonight. 🙏
Oh, I am so sorry to hear this, Maya. I know you love your fur kids so much and can't imagine how difficult this is.
Me too!
