Exploring whole new levels of counterproductive
Except the last 4 years Republican politicians have been taking credit for projects in their districts funded by Democrats that they voted against.
“Thank you” just doesn’t do it justice.
I’m beyond grateful for the support and positive energy from all of you. You inspire and motivate me each and every day.
I also want to say a special “thanks” to the team at Meidas that has been by my side since the beginning.
basically none of the solar existed before 2020 and none of the batteries existed before 2024. biggest technological revolution of our lifetime:
“The inquiry on behalf of the high-profile potential client was flagged internally at BlackRock, according to the people familiar with the matter.”
Seems bad!

March 2026 Marines, Our Nation is in a consequential moment. Global events are shaping our nation's security, and we must be ready. I ask you directly: Are you truly ready to deploy, fight, and win? Are your skills sharp, your standards high, and your gear prepared for immediate movement? Is your desert MARPAT readily available, is your gear packed and ready to pick up and move, or is it stored away in a corner of your home? Are your family's affairs in order? When the call comes, readiness will be assumed. not questioned. Your readiness is not a declaration; it is a daily commitment. This is not a theoretical exercise. Our forces are currently engaged in operations connected to Iran and are positioned to preserve stability in the Western Hemisphere. Our enemies get a vote, and a mass mobilization could become reality. We are operating in this environment now. History demands our readiness today, tomorrow, and every day. Your preparation for combat is forged in your daily actions, your training, and the seriousness with which you handle every responsibility. We are measured not by our intentions, but by what we can do right now. Check your readiness. Tighten your standards. Prepare your family. Our nation expects a disciplined, capable force ready for immediate action. That force is Marine Forces Reserve, That standard begins with, and must be held by. you. FICATS ON! Leonard F. Anderson Lieutenant General, U.S. Marine Corps Commander, Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces South
The Marines are (apparently) told to prepare for combat
Trump administration officials have ordered FBI agents to gather documents about a decade-old investigation into Rep. Eric Swalwell of California and his ties to a suspected Chinese spy, according to people familiar with the matter. The effort has alarmed some career law enforcement officials.
Folks are marching at the No Kings event in Austin, Texas.
Go Texas!!!
Online leftists: It's just a bunch of wine moms. They aren't doing enough.
Media: Bunch of wine moms. It's ineffective.
Meanwhile: Wine moms out there creating community, gathering people together, exposing them to other orgs, giving them opportunities to hear about new ideas. Holding it down.
This is only going to consolidate Democrats around Swalwell in the primary.
It is great to see these big turnouts in these big blue cities, but the substantial turnouts in smaller red and purple cites and towns around the country are probably more important and striking.
There were ~1000 very energized people at the event in the quite purple area near where we live!
This Administration spends more law enforcement resources on politically vindictive investigations and prosecutions than on fighting actual crime. It’s a complete disgrace.
This is a nationwide phenomenon. The centrists and normies are more viciously angry than the socialists and anarchists, who gave up long ago on the illusion of a working system. Would encourage leftists of all stripes to take it seriously, welcome them in while they’re receptive.
Trump continues to deplete stockpiles of expensive & important weapons, gets bases blown up, troops killed & injured, aircraft damaged & radars destroyed, and throws away billions of dollars on his war of aggression while disrupting the global economy and raising cost of living.
The presidency was never intended to be a safe haven for criminals.
Party of life
Trump has told aides he wants to avoid a “forever war” and pursue a negotiated exit, Reuters reports. He’s urging them to emphasise his publicly stated four-to-six-week timeline for the conflict.
In other words, he’s worried.
Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis have joined the war. They launched a missile strike on Israel.
The Iran war is exposing some of those gaps. The State Department and FBI have shed employees with specialized expertise on Iranian energy and counterintelligence. The Department of Defense gutted the office working on civilian casualty minimization — a fact became newly salient following a U.S. airstrike on a girl’s school in Iran. The National Security Council’s director for Iran, Nate Swanson, laid out exactly how Iran would respond to a bombing attack — unfortunately he was fired last year at the direction of online nutjob Laura Loomer. That expertise might be useful right about now.
Gee, maybe it was a bad idea for Trump to fire the people in government who knew what the fuck they were talking about when it came to Iran.

The sheer stupidity of this has left me speechless. 🙄
Go figure.
“It’s important that the world have a plan,” says Marco Rubio, “to confront” the problem America created without a plan in predictable ways after breaking the old plan that was working and president didn’t like that it was but had no other plan except badly planned confrontation, so it’s on you now.
📣 Elections for state Treasurer, Auditor, Comptroller, etc. don't get much attention, but they're vitally important (and are often stepping stones to higher-profile offices).

Bad immigration economics assumes every extra person is one less seat. Good economics notices they also bring a seat, a side dish, and demand for the bloke selling drinks.
The first story is fear; the second is how economies work.
