It might be new year's eve, not Halloween, but real vampires aren't a seasonal threat but are dangerous throughout the year.
Learn more about them in Trine Laier's newest game, Real Vampires, and read my review for @indiegamereviewer.bsky.social here:

Beset by struggles with U.S. government and English football, but otherwise good, and there's always music and friendship!
Hi Matt!
Indiegamereviewers has a post about Halloween-relevant games. I mention PRIM, a graphic adventure in which you play Death's daughter; and GHOST TOWN PUMPKIN FESTIVAL, a sort-of MMO in which you carve pumpkins and leave them for other players to encounter.

At the time of writing it was iOS-exclusive, but it's out on Android now!
My newest @indiegamereviewer.bsky.social article!
This one was a little bit of a suprise, but I got to play Frogblock at a day job event and just had to write it up.
Check out Frogblock if you like M.C. Escher and frogs.

She really was, one of the smartest people I knew.
Billie, 2008-2025.
She entered this world feral. She left it regal.
She chose us, and we are grateful.
New video game review! Kimono Cats started life as an Apple Arcade offering and still has some of those addictive mobile game qualities but without the gross monetization.
Just fun mini-games plus cartoon cats enjoying festival season in rural Japan!

I just watched this 80,000 times.
Now that grant proposal season at my day job has mostly come to a close, I actually managed to find time for a new article over at @indiegamereviewer.bsky.social!

I can see some very shallow surface similarities between "A Colour Out of Space," the only Lovecraft piece to well and truly mess me up, and the Southern Reach books, which have also well and truly messed me up, but that's it, really.
That Jason Isbell album is good and bums me out real hard, like even harder than his other albums.
I got a bunch of Titus Andronicus music in that format, does that count?
Wouldn't it be just cheaper and easier to skip the titers and just get yourself a booster?

Hey, it's officially five years since I've been to a concert. That's a fun thing to know.
Glad I got to see Devo.
That's all I got so far.
This is a relatively new development in my life, and I hate it very much.
