Happy birthday from Jack. He’s 14 or 15. I inherited him from my uncle who passed in November. My sister and I rented a car and drive him across the country to Portland, OR. I’m so in love with this sweet soul. He’s helping me with the loss of my dad at 91 and uncle at 84. Days apart.

I get my “games and puzzles” elsewhere now. As a longtime NY Times reader, I haven’t missed the games. Ok, maybe a little, but it’s worth the price.

I cancelled my subscriptions to The NY Times and the Oregonian. I live three blocks from the ICE building in Portland and I was disgusted by their lack of coverage of what was happening (until now). 🤬I get my news from independent sources now.

I live in the South Waterfront. I am so proud of our city and our protesters.

Retired TVI/Sped teacher here. I had PTSD-like feelings for a year when I retired and reflected on all the money I spent and all the time I gave for free just to do my job for 37 years. We need to support teachers on ALL levels.

I cancelled my MT subscription. I got so tired of the grandstanding and chest beating. 🙄

I cancelled mine (and my 91 yo dad’s subscription).

How do we do this?

Today I cancelled my NYT subscription and my 91 year old father’s as well. Tomorrow I will cancel my subscription to the Oregonian. I’m 65 and done with legacy media.

I also no longer watch any corporate news. My father still watches msnbc because of Rachel.

Monsters. All in office. All who voted for them. Fucking monsters.
