Exempt because the legislation is now specific to commercial app stores.
I completely understand where you're coming from. I simply don't see a path to defeating all these bills. It's a flood and there are lots of interest pushing for even more draconian legislation. However, I do see a path where we can protect open source and I'm putting my effort there.
I received the amended Colorado Age Attestation bill.
* Open source OS's and apps are excluded
* Code repos are excluded (github/gitlab)
* Containers are excluded (docker/podman)
Now to work on getting the bill passed with these amendments.

One of the coolest things about living in Breckenridge is the mining town history. You can casually hike up to a historic mine and browse through an old blacksmith shop.

Sen. Ball responded this morning that they'll now draft potential amendments.

Today, I met with Colorado Sen. Ball, co-author of CO OS Age Attestation Bill SB26-051.
Sen. Ball suggested excluding open source software from the bill. This appears to be a real possibility.
No illusions, it's an uphill battle, but we have an open door to advocate for the open source community.
Perhaps the most perverse consequence of age verification laws: many require advertising the age bracket of the user to the open web. Children will be known to be children even to those that would exploit that information without regard for any other "safety" law.
The system76 support experience.
"I replied at 12:01 with the details they needed. At 12:08, Alex K. from support escalated me to hardware RMA. Seven minutes. I've never seen that in decades of enterprise support."

Picture of architectural mesh incorporated into sheet metal.
Architectural mesh is incorporated into the new Thelio Mira design. It adds beauty and texture to the design and functionally increases airflow over typical vents cut into sheet metal.

Hades 2 is fantastic and a lot of fun. I haven't played a rogue-like game and wondered if it would feel tedious. Not at all.
Skinning up a mountain at the crack of dawn is a beautiful experience.
