Turns out I was giving Polanski too much credit on Ukraine. What the fuck is he talking about here? Putin has an ICC warrant for the industrial kidnapping of tens of thousands of Ukrainian kids & rewarded the soldiers who massacred civillians Bucha with medals for their ‘bravery’

There's also a massive difference between declaring interests when in office and being disbarred from standing because of your portfolio!

No, that's not a thing. I'm sorry but it literally isn't. There is no legal mechanism to prevent someone *registering as a candidate* because they hold shares.

Come on Finn, you know there's a marked difference between 'things you cannot do whilst in elected office' and 'meeting the threshold to run for elected office, including meeting commercial/occupational standards set by the state'

Well, quite. Surprisingly, modern law doesn't seem to take too kindly to mass seizure of land by the state!

These would 100% get thrown in front of a court and almost assuredly be struck down:

- Banning landlords from elected office
- Restricting the ability to own more than 500ha of land, CPOs on roids which have faced numerous challenges!
-Public funding ban, contractual violations & thresholds

🔴 Britain’s Solar Revolution Is Here and We Should Be Shouting It From the Rooftops

Ed Miliband is helping to turn the country into a nation of ‘solar zealots’ and I'm enthusiastically along for the ride. Thankfully I'm not alone.

Well, worse. They didn't have any control over Khan and ULEZ!

Aberdeen South by election absolutely has the potential to do the same to net zero strategy as Uxbridge did to ULEZ

Absolutely incredible.

NASA Astronaut Reid Wiseman, who commanded Artemis II, took this footage from the far side of the Moon with his iPhone.

Watch with sound on.

Will say though they've had an influx of new blood from Corbyn era labour defectors, particularly in 'Golden Triangle' of Norwich. One entire branch essentially dissolved itself and joined the Greens en masse.

Old skool Greens of the James Goldsmith persuasion. R Read the Ur-example as remember him making a Malthusian argument against mass immigration.

Having grown up in a safe Green ward in Norwich, have been very well inoculated against them. Many, many a local story I could tell about them!

Acts 20:9 defo

'And there was a young man named Eutychus sitting on the window sill, sinking into a deep sleep; and as Paul kept on talking, he was overcome by sleep and fell down from the third floor and was picked up dead'

Not to go all "everything is gender" but contrast this with the coverage of the much smaller cohort of angry young men, both in tone and content, and tell me it's normal

You have to realise that by Your Party, we meant our party, and by Our Party, we meant Jeremy Corbyn's Party, and by Jeremy Corbyn's Party, we actually meant a Party Jeremy Corbyn is constitutionally prohibited from leading, so by Your Party we really mean, a sort of Proxy Party for Jeremy. Thanks.

Irrespective of the circumstances Nunez has come on with the sole purpose of taking lumps out of players in a yellow shirt. An awful human being.

Plans approved to convert historic Glasgow Cross building into flats Council planners approved a bid to turn the six-storey Mercat building into 39 flats - both one-bedroom and studios.

To Glasgowpost for a moment: this building at Glasgow Cross is stunning and I'm glad it's going to reenter use BUT I've always thought this building would be an awesome future railway station, approx on the site of the old Gallowgate station (closed 1902). There's PW above and below ground already!

No, he didn't. This is an egregious misquote. He did not say a civilisation 'might die'.

He said they 'will die'.
