Hi everyfur, I did just finish The Count of Monte Cristo, it did be a most enjoyable read. The themes of love, betrayal, revenge and honor did be most gripping.I felt Mercedes was treated rather badly and a few innocent characters did get caught up in Edmond's quest for vengeance
*adds voice note to my iPaw*
This does be a most intriguing area to cover, I will them add to hooms shopping list ππ€π»
Oh yes, we does have the patio area where garden centre plants get stored whilst deciding where to plant them (where they stay for ages n eventually die) π«£π¬π
Oh yes, we did raid some of girl hooms random seed collection too
Oh yes, I does keep yoo updated. I did try wiv my wildflower corner last year but it got overrun wiv teasels, their big leafs stopped other plants from thriving i finks
Morning pals, I does been busy in the Fort Nancy Bear Gardens. We does be re-seeding the lawn n I planted my wildflower corner. Peragwin told me I have to wait for it to start growing n not expect immediate results
*impatient ears*

I did just fill the birdie feeders, now me n Ziggy do be watching them have their brunch π»ππ¦π¦ββ¬
I finks Far from the Madding Crowd does be my favourite too, the only Hardy I've read wiv close to a happy-ish ending. I does love his descriptions of the Wessex landscapes he writes about. It did be sad that I wanted to cheer about Alec's death but then the consequences dawned on me π
It often felt quite timely as she navigated through a world of the male gaze n tried to avoid the unwanted attention of suitors. Overall I enjoyed it n fink its now my favourite Thomas Hardy novel ππ»
It did be interesting to see how society over a century ago viewed a woman's place and the morals n mores expected of her. Despite her lack of agency she did all she could within the world she inhabited to get by wivout the help she should have expected
I did just finish reading Tess of the d'Urbervilles n my smol bear heart does be broken. She did be let down by every character who should have looked out for her welfare. Throughout the book I just kept finking, can she not just have a bit of good fortune?
I did just finish reading The Return of the Native. I found it a bit of a slog as I didn't find myself rooting for any of the hooms, my favourite character did be the heathland. Disappointed as I loved Mayor of Casterbridge π»π
I did have a bad dream in the night, they stopped making jaffa cayks π₯Ίπ³
So I took my blankie n went to snuggle wiv Tiny, he made me feel much better π»π»ββοΈπ΄β€οΈ
