It is mostly Arsenal fans being Arsenal fans. Most of them are like this and I cannot explain why. Anyone who watches both on a regular basis knows Musiala is miles better

I agree! My issue is that on social media, the consequences don't seem to fit the speech. It is easier for real life speech to be filtered out due to economic punishment(loss of jobs, sponsorships, scholarships, etc.) With social media, you make a new account and go at it again.

Very true and a great point. To some extent, we do need to learn how to effectively de-radicalize those who are not totally lost in propaganda or at least prevent environments where radicalization is the norm.

The next issue is the younger generations. Gen Z already seems to be more prone to disinformation. Gen Alpha are doing horribly in school according to teachers.

I believe the impact of technology on children of young ages is massively stunting growth but that is a story for another day.

This doesn't even mention how social media has amplified misinformation campaigns, which is a whole other topic... I guess we just have to do our best to educate and promote good media literacy when we can.

For the most part, people tend to self police irl. Radical views tend to be met with social outcasting, and since humans are social creatures, this works to limit the impact of batshit crazy ideas. Of course, in certain rare situations, these opinions can become popular instantly(war, poverty, etc.)

I subscribe to the second thought, but I find myself asking who gets to draw the line at when freedoms are being infringed on by someone else? It is a tough decision that I think can go wrong when you have sycophants like Elon who just bought the most popular social media site to push his agenda.

Thankfully Elon is not around to promote the GoretzkaSZN agenda anymore

Now back to last minute cramming for my electromagnetism exam. Watch out Ampere's Circuital Law/Biot-Savart Law.

The concept of freedom of speech works better when someone can directly feel the impact of their actions. Enough people remain anonymous enough online for their identities to be not revealed - this likely leads to an exacerbation of extremism due to lack of real backlash/consequences.

Serious question(somewhat): Was the world ready for free speech and the internet combining? I feel it is easier to combat fringe, extreme opinion in real life(you can simply ignore or resort to violence in rare cases). What do you do on social media? Banning them makes people more fervent.

As long as the 10 million blue check bot replies aren't under every post, I'm happy.
