Loved that game when I was a kid

I find the tenrowsaday tutorials are usually good. I can’t remember what I used to start though: tenrowsaday.com/magic-loop/
Magic loop will change your life, and it’s pretty straightforward. Do you have a tutorial?
In Temse to watch the Tour of Flanders roll through. Flemish separatists (VVB) handing Flemish flags out to all the spectators.
A woman stands at the side of a path with her back to the camera while a group of seven professional cyclists rides past, one raising his hand to say thanks to them for standing aside.
Our trip out to the Schelde area to watch the Tour of Flanders tomorrow has already been worth it - passed Groupama FDJ team out on a training ride!
Oh and the battery has replaceable cells!
It’s electric and it folds a bit. We got it in the boot of our car to come into the Belgian countryside this weekend. The handlebars flip down and the pedals flip up.
It’s so cute, isn’t it. Belgian made, from a workshop down on Rue de Laeken.
A picture of a super cute green city bike parked in a front hallway. The bike is iridescent green and has quite small chunky wheels. It has a bag rack on the front.
I picked up my new bike on Monday. I have cycled more this week than any time since I was at uni in the Netherlands (1992). Let’s hope I keep it up.
Don’t disagree. But it’s got better info than their own app.
My Brussels tip for the day: STIB have a WhatsApp channel for realtime info on the network. Follow the STIB channel on WhatsApp: whatsapp.com/channel/0029...
Another company going on the “never use” list. Utterly craven.

Place St. Boniface is a great place to go - lots of different options. The bowls of noodles at Taverne Zhao are fabulous, for example.
Where will you be? This is an amazing city for food!
I’m on a panel this morning at the European Partnership for Brain Health. Will probably (😝) talk about the work we have done on anticipatory governance of neurotech. publications.jrc.ec.europa.eu/repository/h...
Never mind those Jacobite upstarts, the monarch should be a Plantagenet surely? Usurped by those pesky Tudors…
Exciting news about my yarn side hustle. Not only have I moved digitally (set up a new website and moved domains to an ethical cloud provider) I'm going physical, setting up a studio in a creative co-working space here in Brussels: purlandchain.eu/news-and-eve...
Just deactivated my X account, after not using it for almost3 years. Feels great.
Someone suggested Beehiiv, but it seems to lack the community dimension which Substack has done so well. Maybe I just need to dig a bit more.
I'm taking 2026 to do a digital makeover - to wean myself off the big tech and find interesting alternatives. Follow along if you're interested in the process (and please feel free to suggest an alternative to Substack...!)

"I actually think studying the humanities is going to be more important than ever," she explained. "A lot of these models are actually very good at STEM. But I think this idea that there are things that make us uniquely human —understanding ourselves, understanding history, understanding what makes us tick-l think that will always be really, really important. And I think the ability to have critical thinking skills and learn how to interact with other people will be more important in the future, rather than less."

Who would have thought that 2025 would see me becoming something of an internal reference on neurotechnology? This work, with a huge contribution by Beth Parkin, was probably my professional highlight of the year.
Once again female football achieving what male football has thus far been unable to do…
But not quite as good as Gorka’s.
Thinking that Johannes Radebe should be prescribed on the NHS…#scd
I love that the transcription/translation service at #fwd50 has as much difficulty with tu/vous as I do 🤣
