been wondering where I left that one
personally getting very irritated by the unbelievable arrogance of the data boys
I think 3-4 more is all it will take to leave me truly devastated. You’re getting close.
I know we’re all having fun here but the “look, this is you, you’re actually crying” bit really only works if someone has landed any sort of meaningful blow in the first place. Otherwise it’s a bit hollow. Feel free to keep posting it, though!
Replied and quoted? Covering all the bases, I see. Smart move. Demonstrates confidence.
What’s the selfie for?
I understand the words just fine. Rev Arson’s use of them to describe the article makes me worried that he does not. Try to keep up. :)
I worry we may have read two different articles.
It does matter! You need to build a world before you can advocate for it! You have to ask what that world would look like and sometimes that means literally. What is your answer to nostalgia bait and slop? Why is only one side allowed to make images?
Reacting 100% to intonation and not at all to content, the way a horse or a particularly slow dog might do.
Laying it out in the bio lest someone get the wrong impression upon reading the posts. Smart move.
This was a great piece and the people melting down about are showing their entire asses in sad (and entirely predictable) ways.
We gotta get you some training for that thesaurus before you hurt yourself or others.
I missed 95% of the backlash here but sifting through the ashes it seems like the adult literacy crisis is more dire than I could have ever imagined.

I haven’t logged in here for a while and it’s amazing the kinds of keen insights I’ve been missing from these fellas.
I always find this claim interesting because in 1900 about 2/3 of new yorkers lived in tenement buildings where a 325-450 sf apartment would routinely house 8-10 people
What books do you all recommend to someone (child or adult) just getting into architecture?
Do any of my beautiful and insightful followers have a copy of this on their bookshelf?
Charles Barnard, ‘The Magic Sign’ (ST Publications, 1993)
would reward you handsomely if you could scan or loan it to me for a spell

Anyone, anywhere who expresses skepticism of Dollar General’s entry into the community is doing so for disingenuous reasons because I know a few people who really like shopping at one particular location. Checkmate, leftists.
Okay? 👍
All of these things could be true without it being the case that community opposition to dollar stores is only ever vibes-based. Not sure how many other ways I can say that to you.
I would think “more authentic” probably entails selling non expired merchandise, but ymmv. It is surprising how *any* community hesitation to a project is always illegitimate on a technicality or secretly about something else entirely with the YIMBY crowd.
So you’re in the “people actually just oppose for vibes” camp? Or am I misreading you?
Discovered an amazing beverage at the Biennale Architettura 2025 called an "Aperol Spritz." Has anyone heard of this before?

I wonder what the positions are in this “public debate.” Maybe it’s a mods (eye-tracking) v trads (good old fashioned skull calipers) thing.
