Why were we even in Tampa? Skipper Mari was getting an amazing new tiki-retro cat tattoo! It's super vibrant and MCM.

This Jade Tile swizzle is totally my new favorite though.

The theming in here is on point- I really want to take some of what I’m seeing here back to the home bar.

Music choice is….interesting. They’re playing pirate rock. I guess that matches the theme, but it’s a little weird.

We tried the Gaspers Grog and the Mac Nut Pearl Diver.
Pretty good pearl diver, but the Grog is phenomenal. Perfectly balanced spice, tart, and sweet.

Found ourself in Tampa, so of course we needed to take a trip to Morgan’s Cove

Detroit is such a weird spot for tiki history. Or really, in my mind, anywhere that isn’t coastal. But I’m all for it!

Tonight on the Lagoon, a Matcha Painkiller! Classic painkiller recipe, topped with a strong coconut matcha shot.

The matcha adds an interesting herbal flavor I really like. Deep, balances the sweet real nice.

Hey hey, we’ve trimmed down and centered the salvaged rockwork with the bar! This adds so much more visual interest, I really like it.

To be clear, our two cats are welcome in the lounge at any time. One of them takes her evening naps in here. Heck, they’re the namesakes of the island’s two volcanoes, and are honored with their own custom witco-inspired art!

This is why we don’t let wildlife into the bar….the again, this little panther is always welcome

Not sure I Recognize that word. We have many god carved as totems on the island. Pele, Ares, Uh-Oha
