The album is his back patch. Eddie’s a very up front person, not ashamed to be himself, so it makes sense that he displays his Vecna song for all to see.

You already know. As much as I wanna make a Madonna joke, this song is Steve. It just fits him. He tries to front, to be the cool guy, but he just can’t help how deeply he feels and how quickly he falls.

He’d probably lie and say it’s “Sunglasses at Night”.

Robin: Total Eclipse of the Heart, Bonnie Tyler

This song is forever connected to the sentiment that, despite what they went through, she and Steve not only survived Starcourt, but came out of it best friends.

Nancy: Twist Of Fate, Olivia Newton John

I can see her and Barb dancing around her bedroom to this song.

After Barb’s death, the song was featured in a movie, Two of a Kind. It hit hard.

I’m also reading Nancy as an Olivia Newton John fan. Her S1 arc was just apocalyptic Sandy

El: Time In A Bottle, Jim Croce

She heard it when she and Joyce were going through the cabin to salvage Hopper’s things. It helped El to grieve his loss.

I wanted to give El something other than a Mike related memory because she’s more than that.

The song kept him alive and tethered when he was in the Upside Down. It reminds him of Jonathan; of home.
