criteria for animated TV shows and movies. I hope they release another trailer later on.

or adrenaline inducing moments that will put the excitement into me. I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'm not 100 percent convinced about this film yet. I hope this doesn't turn out to be a movie I hope had stayed out of sight. I apologize. I'm not trying to be negative. I simply have odd (2/3)

I'm going to need a better trailer before I make a call on this. It looks like what I had feared it to be. One big court case. I need to know if there's any adventure, wild antics (1/3)
I just wish I knew more about it. I know it's based on that Backrooms game, but I've never played it so I have no idea if the horror will be downplayed, shit, or actually worth the hype. It is A24, so I have a lot of hope, but I want to know the concept, really.
the in-universe "Stab" movies.
fame can be more than it's worth. Their utter obsession with Sidney's book and her survival details were disturbing because they simply wanted to create a new franchise with a "Sidney 2.0" and no other motivation. It was a breath of fresh air to see someone obsessed with Sidney rather than (3/4)
from asking Sidney about the details in her book or talking to her about true crime documentaries, so I suspected it might've been somebody else since she was doing "Mommy 101". To have a random institution patient involved was also genius in my opinion. It really hits home that the cost of (2/4)
I liked it as well. I feel like the film was harshly judged. The reveal of the main killer, Jessica, threw me for a loop because she wasn't in the film all that much. She maybe had a total screentime of 8 minutes without the mask. Not only that, but she kept being nice and stopping her son (1/4)

I can't wait for Scream 8!
My personal rating: 9.1/10
I don't want to spoil any more for those who haven't seen it, but I promise that if you love Scream in general, you will love this entry to the franchise as well. It takes a different direction with Kevin Williamson actually behind the camera, but it's well worth a watch. (16/17)
threw me off so many times because they twist and turn a lot. Most of the kills being saved for the final act of the film was an intriguing decision as well. Usually slasher movies have the kills sprinkled throughout, but this did not. The restaurant scene was a total massacre. (15/16)
she lives, but the one she lived in 1996 - 2000. When she was kicking Ghostface killers' asses once a year. These Ghostfaces have a little less of a motive, but to create their own movie out of family trauma is a pretty extreme way to return Sidney to her "previous" self. This film's reveal (14/16)
I think these are some of the best horror/mystery/slasher films to date. One of the aspects I loved is they DID incorporate some movie and novel commentary. Things like how the people killing aren't a fan of the "Stab" in-movies but are a fan of Sidney Prescott. However, not the current life (13/16)
I love every single one of these films for their different tones, different levels of blood/gore, how you can tell that certain Ghostface killers are more aggressive than others, how they move and more. You have to watch these movies multiple times to spot the behaviors, but they're worth it.(12/16)
very real events that could happen. Feeling trapped by the past, family being stalked by obsessive people who gain parasocial relationships, A///I Deepf@kes, its danger to reality and the identities of people in general and more. I actually like this more realistic commentary. (11/16)
I know it's portrayed as an A///I Deepf@ke, but it doesn't change the fact that you can tell he was REALLY into his role. The psychotic and maniacal laughter, the bouncy gestures with his hands and entire head. So while the movie doesn't comment on other horror films, it is now commenting on (10/16)
almost hard to take a breath while watching this film. I like that this film's personal mystery revolves around whether Stu Macher made it out alive from the first film. I love Matthew Lillard's energy as he returns to his role as Stu. He never lost it, and he's better than ever. (9/16)
With Sidney now being famous for writing her book and being played by actresses in the in-movie films called "Stab", she's unable to escape her past anywhere she goes. This film proves that fame is scarier than it can be worth at times. There are MANY tense scenes in "Scream 7" and it's (8/16)
such as your family and other loved ones. Another thing this entry flips on its head is the reveal of the killers. It's usually somebody you know, but in this one, it's somebody who THINKS they know you. Somehow, that feels more terrifying. Having a stalker that you're unaware of. (7/16)
calculated. They waste no time calling Sidney and immediately terrorizing her and her daughter. The first two kills happen within the first 35 minutes and then it starts to go into a fast-paced showdown with one of the Ghostface killers. This more personal approach taps into primal fears (6/16)
Scream V (2022) comments on Requels (Legacy Sequels), and Scream VI comments on the rules of long-running franchises. While these were fun and addicting to watch for the mystery and slasher aspects, I appreciate Williamson's wander into different territory. This Ghostface is cold and (5/16)
