I'd say this: putting more solar over more water canals and warehouses is an easy choice. Driving a car without a tailpipe, when we know that tailpipe emissions are not recyclable, like EV batteries are, is an easy choice.
My father was blacklisted in 1958, long after HUAC produced zero evidence of subversion in entertainment. Dad said, among other things, that they did it to earn their annual budget appropriation. For money. He and his career and our family survived. Not all were as fortunate. Dad being sworn in.

Wow, and wow again.
Clean energy candidates have beaten a concerted campaign by Turning Point USA and captured a board majority at the Salt River Project, Arizona's 2nd-largest utility
Lots of us pitched in on this fight, not knowing if a win was possible. It was!

All House Dems (and Senators) should sign on to this.
The world's economic and strategic fate is at the whim of a madman.
I signed up for Mr. Todd's Wild Ride, and you should too! Excited to watch #Disneyland's Autopia begin its transformation off gas to electric in October, as @sammyroth.bsky.social reports once again in his latest Climate-Colored Goggles Substack: www.climatecoloredgoggles.com/p/soarin-cal...
Can't wait to watch #Autopia transition to #electriccars. This column, though broader than just 1 issue, is good timing with @pluginamerica.bsky.social's Drive Electric Earth Month, bringing over 160 EV events to communities coast to coast & in Mexico. Find 1 near you: driveelectricearthmonth.org
@cobyskye.bsky.social just in case you and Abbie move to the UK :)
Line graph time series of glaciers around the world for cumulative mass change since 1950 from a reference period of 1992. All areas are decreasing.
Cumulative change in the mass of glaciers from all around the world - preliminary data just updated through 2025 ☹️

Horribly yes, yes, yes. Cost so high. #stopburningstuff
Yeah. I like Uniqlo clothes. I don’t like advertising for a company that’s causing asthma, cancer and climate change. We should all be sounding the alarm.
'The same folks most at risk from Trump’s immigration raids (low-income people of color) are the same folks hurt 1st & worst by extreme heat, air pollution & other harms of oil & gas combustion.' Sign our petition to hit Big Oil out of the park: MoveOn.org/dodgers
A solar spill just means a sunny day....and lots of clean electricity.
On the debate abt individual v. political & systemic change: Refusing to fund Big Oil/its lobbyists w/ every trip to the pump gives each of us enormous power & doesn't mean we can't do it all. Hasn't Smokey taught us anything? Connect the dots btwn the pump & climate, the presidency and the war.
Yup. Been saying and doing just that since 2002. Dump the pump.
Brilliant campaign. Get fossil fuels out of sports.
Take the long view. So great to hear from brilliant, wise vets.
‘The day the water died’: 37 years after Exxon Valdez, the damage still lingers.
Rick Steiner, who helped respond to the Exxon Valdez spill, says the ecosystem has not full recovered nearly four decades later.

A solar developer persuaded rural farmers in California's notoriously change-averse San Joaquin Valley to let them build the world's largest solar project. Here's how it happened, and why it's a water solution too: www.canarymedia.com/articles/sol... via @jeffstjohn.bsky.social
Heard this crap since EVs hit the market and govt stupidly funded fool-cell cars under the guise of “we must not pick favorites.” Was there ever a free market?
Just realized: Kids’ lungs and #climate, not cash, drove our campaign to get #Disneyland to electrify Autopia. But turns out we’ll be helping the House o’ Mouse shield itself from oil shocks, too. Ur welcome, Mickey. #StopBurningStuff
Can you say “chilling effect?” I just hope the attack dogs find the pet rest areas.

I just realized something. Since I got my first #EV 24 years ago, I’ve been driving like a consumer of the finest diamonds—conflict free. No war or oil ever required—certified! And with all the savings on gas and repairs, you can too, dahling. 💎💎💎
