Hello, heard back from library manager who's back in today. There's been a citywide issue relating to filters not working as intended. It should be fixed now but they're still experiencing issues with child/teenage library cards. Pls lemme know if it continues/there's another issue.

Powderhall / Leith Walk / Easter Road / Meadowbank path negotiations continue between Edinburgh Council & Network Rail Scotland, & assessments have taken place on the bridges down the route.

However we're a whiles until any spade can hit the ground. The funding picture was answered back in Feb too.

Great to visit the Pilrig Bowling Club open day at their start of the season.

Nestled at the foot of Pilrig Heights, they're a very friendly bunch (only one Jack was hit today) & are looking for new members!

Thanks I've not heard anything but happy to follow up with the library manager. These things are managed centrally so imagine staff are probably not best pleased either...

I'll need to get an update on the TRO (Traffic Regulation Order) needed to better enforce several parts of that.

I belive it should be. On the 2nd point? there needs to be TRO before the angles etc could be enforced.

I suspect the barrier will have been re-used from the Foot of the Walk when Leith Connections was still being built. It was discussed last week at @leithcentralcc.bsky.social but hopefully the works will start soon.

Thank you Victoria Bar (one of the many great indie establishments on Leith Walk) for hosting such a successful Neighbourhood Meetup tonight as part of their monthly events!

It was great to talk to neighbours and residents about everything from water taps in parks to shared tenement maintenance.

Mick North's five year old daughter Sophie was murdered 30 years ago along with 15 other children and their teacher at Dunblane's primary school.

He has called on Nigel Farage to renounce his description of the UK's handgun ban as 'ludicrous', but Farage refuses.

A fantastic new initiative by Bonnington residents on common land. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿ

Despite Edinburgh's green reputation, there are loadsa "corridors" where bees & butterflies have no rest stop.

I hope we can improve this in the near future with more trees in urban areas like Leith.
